Story
Meet JERSEY!Jersey is a 12 year old Min Pin/Dachshund mix. She weighs just under 20 pounds. Jersey is very loving, high energy and certainly doesn’t act 12. She loves to be close to you and snuggle and she’s a rather bossy lady when she wants attention and will bark at you and wiggle. It’s adorable. She gets along very well with cats, dogs and kids. Jersey is crate trained - she’ll climb and eat anything she can find if left out while no one is home - but she prefers to sleep in bed with her family at night as she cries (very loudly) all night if crated.Jersey is potty trained as long as she is let out on the regular. If she jumps down off the bed in the morning, it’s time to go. If you stop to use the restroom before letting her out; she will not wait for you. She does not like to be picked up. She will wrap her jaw around your arm like she is going to bite you but it doesn’t hurt and she’s never bitten any of us. It’s just her warning. It seems she’s just scared to be picked up as we have had her checked out by two separate veterinarians (with X-rays) to verify that she is not in any pain that may cause her to not like being picked up. She loves other dogs and mothers them by grooming them. She LOVES walks and is on joint supplements. Story
We took Mochi as a rescue from the Wood County Dog shelter. She was abandoned and found left by the highway on I-75 with no information known about her. We feel in love with her when we visited her and brought her home from the shelter. We soon found out she was also pregnant and we ended up delivery 6 puppies and soon has 9 dogs in our house. Mochi when first moving in got along really well with our 2 year old lab Oreo, but something changed after she had the puppies. She started to be aggressive towards Oreo and we decided we needed to find her a home without another dog. She does great with humans and just has jealously and territory issues with other dogs. We also don’t know any of her history with being a rescue. We just need to find her a home that she can be content with. She is great on walks and just wants to be held and cuddle with someone.
