Story
Here's what you need to know about me:I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable. But once I get to know you, I'm very loving.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more! It's recommended I meet any kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I can live with another dog (or two), but prefer them to be either male or an older female. I have a hard time co-existing with young females since I lived most of my life intact. Ask an adoption counselor for more information!I'm currently in foster and ready for my new home! If you're interested in meeting me, please email adoptionsvancouver@southwesthumane.org. Primary Color: Black Weight: 12.2 Age: 10yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Zoey is 5 years old. She was adopted early November from my local Humane Society. A month after her adoption she had complications & was diagnosed with Mega-esophagus. No underlying condition has been found. We have been taking care of her very diligently but decided we can’t handle the emotional & financial stress of her condition. Zoey needs a home with an adopter who has experience caring for dogs with special needs, preferably Mega-E dogs specifically and is ready to take on the responsibility of her. She needs a calm, gentle environment. She is on a prescription diet & two medications right now. She does not have a bailey chair. She is a bit under-weight but we have been trying to help her regain it. Zoey is a very sweet, playful, intelligent, and needy dog with a lot of love to give once she has gotten comfortable. She picks a favorite person and sticks with them. Zoeys very nervous, jumpy, vocal, and has bad separation anxiety. Somewhat kennel trained, and a very good girl.

Story
If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out the application at www.woodscreekrescue.com. Filling out the application is not a commitment to an adoption and needs to be done prior to any further questions you might have or information you are seeking. Our Process is the following: 1. Fill out an application 2. Once the application is approved, you will be called or emailed about setting up a day and time to meet me. 3. After a 'Meet and Greet' then a decision for both the rescue and you will determine if this is a good match. After this is determined, we will schedule a home check which can be the day of adoption depending on how things go.
