What my friends at OHS say about me:If you have a vacant lap, I would be glad to keep it warm!I can't wait to show my new family how playful I am!I may be a tiny girl but I've got a big brain, I love to learn! Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.I have a medical condition that requires long term management. The type of home I'm looking for:You may notice I have three legs! I am a very happy guy, but this may affect the kind of home I need. But don't worry! The staff here love to talk about me and they can answer all your questions. It could be with you! If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out the application at www.woodscreekrescue.com. Filling out the application is not a commitment to an adoption and needs to be done prior to any further questions you might have or information you are seeking. Our Process is the following: 1. Fill out an application 2. Once the application is approved, you will be called or emailed about setting up a day and time to meet me. 3. After a 'Meet and Greet' then a decision for both the rescue and you will determine if this is a good match. After this is determined, we will schedule a home check which can be the day of adoption depending on how things go.

Story
**All dogs are by appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, Rescueme.org or e-mail us directly at shelter@hbpets.org for the dogs questionnaire** Hi there, I am Penny, I am a spayed female, Min Pin/Chihuahua Mix, almost 5yrs old. I was adopted as a puppy by the nicest lady, she took wonderful care of me, took me places, took me for walks and loved me very much. Our lives changed as my owners health started to decline and we went on less and less adventures, which caused me to be nervous around new people, I have over come this and the shelter team is certain its because my owner loved me so much. Penny has lived in an apartment, but she has really enjoyed having a yard, she would do great in both environments. She loves having dog buddies, she has never lived with cats or children. She is a Min Pin, which means she likes to bark when she hears strange noises. Penny is incredibly sweet and loving, walks well on a leash, loves to play with toys, she may need 1-2 meet and greets with her potential adopters. My adoption fee is $300
