Story
We got this dog from a local person around Thanksgiving. She is a cute and sweet dog, but unfortunately, she will not let our cat live in peace. Our cat is 8 years old, and even though she isn't aggressive toward the cat, she likes to play too roughly with him, and he has become fearful of her. The cat hides in our room under the bed almost all day. It is not fair to our cat to keep going on this way.

Story
We have a transport leaving on 2/21/26 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add our sweet pups to our trip for the right families 😊 Born on 11/6/25, these four beautiful Schnauzer/Poodle babies came to us after their previous family experienced an accidental litter before mama could be spayed. It was never their intention to breed, and they lovingly reached out to us for help. In turn, we ensured both mom and dad were spayed and neutered so no future accidental litters would happen. For size reference, their mom weighs 16.8 lbs and their dad is just under 20 lbs full grown. While genetics give us a helpful guide, mixed breeds can vary slightly in maturity depending on which traits they favor as they grow. These puppies have been raised with intention, structure, affection, and daily hands-on care. They are incredibly well socialized, beautifully tempered, bright, and eager to learn. They are pad trained, sleep peacefully in their enclosed play yard at night, and are used to a structured routine. They have not yet begun outdoor house training or leash training, as we prioritized completing their vaccines before exposing them to shared dog areas. Beginning both house training and leash introduction in their new homes will allow them to bond directly with their adopting families while learning these important life skills in a consistent environment. This approach has helped keep them healthy and sets them up for success as they mature. All four puppies are considered hypoallergenic and have gorgeous coats that favor the Schnauzer side — soft, beautiful texture with that classic Schnauzer look rather than tight Poodle curls. Their coats will require regular grooming to maintain their healthy appearance as they grow. Each puppy has had a full veterinary exam and was cleared medically with a health certificate for their adopting family. They are current on all puppy-age vaccines including Bordetella, have been microchipped, and had fecal testing sent to the lab which came back negative (copies provided). They will go home on spay/neuter contracts as they are far too young to be altered, and keeping them past this bonding window would not benefit their emotional development. It is important they grow into themselves within their own families 💞 While they are siblings, they will be adopted individually unless someone is intentionally seeking a sibling pair. Each one deserves to be chosen for who they are as an individual soul. Now let me introduce you to their hearts… Aria – Female – Black & Tan Currently weighing 7.84 lbs, Aria is expected to mature around 18–20 lbs full grown. She is my shy, serene little girl. She doesn’t rush into the world — she softly steps into it. All she needs is a gentle voice and a few sweet words, and you can literally watch her open up. The moment she feels safe, her tail begins wagging like it has its own heartbeat. She is quiet by nature, calm, and deeply bonded to her person. She enjoys playtime, but her true happy place is simply being near you. She is the kind of puppy who will grow into a loyal, intuitive companion for someone who appreciates a tender heart and a peaceful presence. Aira – Female – Chocolate & Tan Currently weighing 3.93 lbs, Aira is our tiniest girl and expected to mature around 10–12 lbs full grown. Being the runt, she will likely remain a smaller-framed companion — though occasionally the smallest surprise us all with a little growth spurt. Even so, she should remain noticeably more petite than her siblings. She may be little, but her personality is anything but. She is bold in love. She will be the first to tug at your pant leg so you’ll lower yourself to her level — because in her mind, your lap is exactly where she belongs. She is incredibly bright, observant, and very people-oriented. If she can’t find you, she will absolutely let you know she’s looking for you. She bonds deeply and quickly, and her affectionate nature wins hearts instantly. Sweet as pie with a spark of sass, she will thrive with someone who adores an attached little shadow. Artie – Male – Black & Tan Currently weighing 7.87 lbs, Artie is expected to mature around 18–20 lbs full grown, likely being one of the larger siblings alongside Aria. He is my biggest personality and resident teddy bear. He is pure love wrapped in fluff. He has mastered the dramatic “sad puppy” look — especially when he’s gotten into something he shouldn’t have (like pulling fluff from a stuffie 😅). He commits fully to the performance, and it’s nearly impossible to stay upset for long. The moment he knows he’s forgiven, his tail starts wagging and he runs to you like life is perfect again. He is affectionate, playful, and has a soft, goofy charm that makes him unforgettable. He will grow into a loyal, fun-loving companion who keeps life light. Aero – Male – Tri-Color (Tan/Gray/White) Currently weighing 6.73 lbs, Aero is expected to mature around 16–18 lbs full grown, placing him right between the smaller and larger siblings. He is my clever little mastermind. Mischievous? Yes. Intelligent? Absolutely. He watches everything. You can almost see him planning his next move. His current hobby is dragging puppy pads to his bed and shredding them like a built-in paper shredder — and then attempting to convince me it wasn’t him (even when the evidence is literally stuck to his face 😆). He is sly, observant, and incredibly smart. His curiosity and problem-solving nature will flourish in a home that provides mental stimulation and consistent guidance. Underneath his antics is a bright, affectionate boy who just loves engagement. As with all mixed breeds, adult size is an educated estimate based on current growth and parental size, but slight variation is always possible as they mature. What we can confidently say is that they will remain in the small companion range — wonderful sizes for both active households and cozy homes alike. These babies are beautifully balanced — playful yet affectionate, intelligent yet eager to please. They are at the perfect age to bond deeply with their forever families and continue building confidence in a loving home environment. Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of their adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/aero-artie-aria-aira Their adoption fee covers all veterinary care to date (vaccines including Bordetella, exam, fecal testing with negative lab results, microchips, health certificates), their daily care, socialization, and structured foundation while in our care. As always, a portion also goes back toward the spay and neuter of their parents — because without responsible follow-through, these little lives wouldn’t be possible 💞 If you feel drawn to one of them, tell us about yourself and the life you can offer. We are committed to making the absolute best match for each puppy and their future family.

Pending adoption We have a transport leaving on 2/21/26 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Freddie to our trip for the right family 😊 Meet Freddie, a gentle, soulful poodle mix (we were told he was a cockapoo, cocker spaniel/poodle mix, He has the hypoallergenic coat of a Poodle so you won't have to worry about shedding!) He is just about two years old now and weighs right around 16 pounds, and yes he is fully grown. Freddie is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccines, and he’s been thoroughly vetted and cleared to find a home of his very own. Freddie came to us from a background that didn’t give him much opportunity to just be a dog. Because of that, he’s not the loud, demanding, center-of-attention type, instead, he’s quiet, observant, and incredibly thoughtful. In the home, he’s house trained and does great with regular potty breaks every few hours. He’s content to relax nearby, often keeping to himself, but when you invite him in for affection, he absolutely melts into it. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t push for love, but deeply cherishes it once it’s offered. Over the past several months, Freddie has made steady, meaningful progress with confidence. Leash walking is still something he’s building comfort with, but he’s come a long way and continues to improve with gentle guidance and consistency. New experiences can still feel big to him, but each day he shows more curiosity and courage. He enjoys spending peaceful time in the yard and is perfectly happy entertaining himself or lounging in a quiet space. Freddie isn’t trying to escape, he’s simply learned to take things at his own pace, and when he feels safe, his true personality shines. At night, Freddie sleeps calmly in his crate and settles in without issue. He also does well when left alone and doesn’t struggle with anxiety or restlessness. While he’s perfectly comfortable continuing with a crate routine, we can easily see him thriving with a cozy bed nearby or even beside his person once trust is fully established. He’s a dog who bonds deeply, just not instantly, and the connection he forms is sincere and lasting. Freddie would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that confidence isn’t rushed and love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. He’s not broken, shy, or difficult, he’s simply a dog who learned the world later than most and is still discovering how good life can be. In the right home, with a gentle heart and steady reassurance, he will continue to blossom into the wonderful companion we already know he is. Freddie’s adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/freddie-1 This reflects the veterinary care, daily care, training support, and time invested in helping him heal, grow, and prepare for a successful future. If you feel your home may be the safe, loving place Freddie has been waiting for, we’d love to hear more about you, your lifestyle, and your experience with the breed. Sometimes the quiet ones are the ones who love the deepest. Freddie is just waiting for someone to see him 🩵
