Story
Kinsey is a darling, sweet little poodle mix. She was born around 3/2022 and is currently 12 lbs. Kinsey is an affectionate, smart, happy little dog. Her main focus in life is being with her humans. She desires to be a large part of her family’s life and wants to be included in their daily activities. She will happily follow her people around the house and yard for most of the day. She would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours. Kinsey enjoys exploring in the yard, chewing on bully sticks and following her family around. She is beginning to enjoy walks and starting to play with toys a bit. She currently lives with other dogs and cats but does not engage with them and prefers being with people. She would likely enjoy life as an only pet who receives undivided attention from her family. Kinsey is crate trained but does not love her crate. She is doing well with house training and learning leash manners. She can be a sensitive girl and does well with positive training. She is an alert barker and enjoys a yard so no apartments for her. Young children would likely overwhelm her so children under 12 are not recommended. Kinsey is a delightful little dog who is waiting patiently for her forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 3/28/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Zack to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Zack! He turned 1 year of age on 3/3/25. He is a Maltese/poodle mix. He weighs 11.64 lbs. Yes, he is full grown and at a very healthy weight. He definitely has more of the Maltese coat in look and texture. Yes, he is hypoallergenic so you won't have to worry about him shedding. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, had a thourel exam with our vet, and has officially been cleared to find a home all his own. He is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom as needed throughout the day when asked to. If he doesn't need to go outside, he simply will stay back. He gets asked to go potty every 3 hours or so, and with that schedule he rarely asks to be let out in between but when he does he will sit by the door patiently for you to open it for him. He is not fond of the crate. We have attempted to condition him to it and while he isn't destructive in one, he just does not like being confined and will cry. He will gladly lay on a dog bed behind a gate that would section off a smaller area as it's a more open feel and he doesn't mind that one bit! He is also amazing in the house, so he doesn't need to be confined if you ask me. He currently sleeps on a dog bed under our bed 😂 he loves to be cozy in his little cave under there. I just believe he has learned that it's cooler and the morning sun doesn't get him under there! He is leash trained, and really loved his walks! He is naturally social and really enjoys strolling around especially if he gets to greet friendly neighbors walking their dogs 💕 He is not a barker and is rather quiet. He makes a great friend, especially to a home where you are missing the love of a little companion. He is not needy by any means, and knows your day can get busy so he will find a bed to snooze on near by while you tend to other things. Trust me that he will always be ready for you once you are able to focus back on him! His little eyes light up, and you can feel the joy radiating from him knowing he is about to get some much needed daytime snuggles ☺️ He is amazing with other dogs, and cats alike! He would make anyone's home more complete, and lives happier than they have ever been so if you are wanting the love of a special friend, choose Zack!!! He is amazing on road trips of any length, and loves days spent getting all dolled up with his groomer!!! He is just an absolute wonderful boy looking for a home all his own so if that's you please contact us today 🌸 His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_zack It covers all of his vet care. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and had two ear infections that had to be treated while with us that required having the hair plucked out of both ears, an antibiotic injection, an allergy injection, and antibiotics to go home that was applied to both ears. It also covers the care involved in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done with him!

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 3/28/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Yoshi to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Yoshi! He turns 1 on 8/1/25. He is a Maltese/poodle mix. He weighs 8.4 lbs. He has a little more growth until he reaches his adult size, but he won't be much bigger than he is now. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, has been thoroughly examined by our vet, and has officially been cleared to find a home all his own. He is a very sweet, and affectionate little guy! He is not your high energy, bouncing off the walls kind of pup whatsoever!! He is very calm natured, and while he loves his toys they are no competition to being in your lap, or snuggled in your arms. He is a real life teddy bear, and one that needs a special human all his own 💙 He is wonderful with other pups his age, and would make a great friend to another sweet dog or cat in your home. If you don't have any other pets, he would be just as happy knowing he will be the prince of your life getting all the extra snuggles he otherwise would have to share! He is wonderful with men, women, and children alike. He loves a more calm, quiet, and subtle environment so if you or your family has a home where you believe he would thrive in and is simply missing the love and joy a sweet boy like him can bring then he is definitely your guy! He will always be waiting for you to come back home, and his tail will never stop wagging until a snuggle session begins. He is that missing piece to your life, and I promise you don't want to leave it incomplete ❤️ He is not a barker at all! He enjoys knowing he is safe with his humans, and that they can handle any unfamiliar noise. He may learn to find his voice as he matures and his confidence grows in the world, but until then he will leave that job to his trusted family and will keep your seat warm until you return to him as a thank you for keeping him safe ❤️❤️❤️ He is crate trained, and has no problem sleeping in his crate at night. He does also love being in bed with you, so if you love having your little guy in bed, he would be soooo happy! Besides the crate has many other uses, like when you go out to the grocery store and he can't come he can nap in there till you are back home. Regardless of what his sleeping arrangements will be in his next home he will be happy just to have a family of his own again so he is happy to sleep wherever you want him to! Leash training is new, so that's something that will need to be continued in his next home. He really loves being carried, and has learned to follow you or keep close when outdoors so leash time won't be hard once he learns the joy it brings outside of the home. House training is going wonderful! He understands pads as well, but he sometimes misses the pad. He will stand on it just doesn't stand on it centered so we have been very diligent to have him on a potty schedule outside throughout the day so the pads are only there if he absolutely needs them in between being taken out. If you have a good schedule too, then the pads will eventually become obsolete!! His prior owners worked ALOT and raising a young pup wasn't something they thought through. They didn't want him to grow up without receiving the care, training, and socialization he needed to be a well rounded and happy boy so they asked us to bring him in and find him a home where he would be cared for the way he deserved! His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/yoshi It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration and his exam with our vet, along with the care associated in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done!

Story
Ollie is such a sweet and special boy with a quiet and lovely nature. Ollie is an 1 ½ -year-old, 14-pound wheat-colored Poodle/Chihuahua mix (his mother is a Poodle and dad is a Chihuahua). Ollie is a lovable pup who will need time to adjust to his new surroundings. He thrives best in a calmer environment, ideally with another friendly dog. He loves snuggling up with other dogs, and having a canine companion would be perfect for him! Because of Ollie’s gentle, bashful demeanor, we recommend a home with adults or older teenagers. He may take his time warming up, but once he trusts you, you’ll see his sweet and gentle nature shine through. Ollies does well at the sanctuary using the doggie door to go potty outside, He will benefit from some leash training to help him build confidence. Ollie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, making him ready for adoption! If you think you can open your heart and home to this sweet boy, come meet Ollie he promises to be an adorable addition to the family. He deserves a warm and loving environment where someone can show him lots of love. Thank you for considering adopting Ollie, he's sure to bring so much joy and companionship to the right home. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3.
