Shots up to date (DHPP), wormed, micro chipped, altered (spayed/neutered).   Adoption cost for this dog is $350 We are a rescue, and although we have a facility in Modesto most of our dogs/pups are currently being fostered  in or around our area. So please be willing to make the trip to see them if you are from out of the area. Our adoption process REQUIRES that an application must first be submitted and approved prior to meeting any of our pets. Just note that we may get several responses on one pet at a time so just because you have an approved application does not mean said pet is on hold for you. One must FIRST confirm an appointment to meet the pet after an approved application has been sent. To inquire about this specific pet, please write to info@pupznpalz.org for an application. Please remember to put the pets name in the subject line when emailing, and on the top on the application. It helps us to help you that must faster. We are a group of volunteers, and ask that you please bare with us. We will get to each person just as quickly as we can. We are so happy to have our sweet girl Curls with us. After being returned to her owner from the shelter last year, Curls sadly found herself back in the shelter again within a year, this time severely neglected. Once her painful mats were shaved away, she immediately felt like a brand-new lady and her true personality began to shine. Curls gets along well with other dogs and would love a canine friend to play with. She is also okay with cats. She adores her toys, has a hearty appetite, and is house-trained, including knowing how to use training pads. She has just the right amount of sass, is incredibly affectionate, and is an absolute delight. While Curls isn’t a fan of car rides, this is easily managed with medication. She prefers not to wear a harness or sweaters, but makes up for it with endless charm and love. Curls is 10 years old and weighs 8–10 pounds, and she’s ready to charm her way into the heart of a lucky family.

Mango is small, fluffy, and absolutely adorable rescue — a sweet, sensitive boy who thrives in the right environment. He bonds deeply to his person, is affectionate, playful, and loves learning and being involved. When calm and supported, his loving, goofy personality shines. Mango can get anxious in overwhelming situations. This may show as reactivity, especially around reflections (glass, cars, elevators) or some larger dogs. With guidance, these moments can be managed. He has had puppy school, professional training, online programs, and consistent work at home. He does best with calm, confident guidance, clear routines, and consistency. He needs an experienced adopter for his reactivity. He isn’t the right dog for a first time dog parent. Mango would be happiest with a patient, steady person who provides structure and ongoing training. He is not broken — he is loving, smart, and has so much potential to grow into a confident, joyful companion.
