Story
Handsome Beau is a Poodle mix with a bit of a sad story. He was found wandering as a stray, and when he was brought to us, we discovered that he was microchipped. We went to great lengths to contact the listed owner, but unfortunately, they never responded to our outreach. This means wonderful Beau is now officially looking for a loving, permanent family to call his own. Born on 7/26/24 according to his previously registered microchip, Beau is still a young pup with a lifetime of adventures ahead of him. His finder reported that he did well in a home with both a dog and a cat, but he was in another home overnight and he didn't much like their cats while he was there, so it seems Beau is picky with his feline-friends. A slow, careful introduction or a no-cat household would be best for little Beau. Beau is a gentle and friendly companion who will thrive in a home that offers him structure, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. He is neutered and vaccinated, and his existing microchip will be transferred to you upon adoption. The $350 adoption fee covers his neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, and the microchip transfer. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Duncan and Dougal are a bonded pair who should stay together. They were abandoned and found at American Legion Park and my sister and I got them all their shots. We've also got them neutered and chipped, and their records can be provided. These are two very sweet dogs who love to be with and sleep with their human, so I let them sleep on the bed with me and the cats. They don't mind the cats at all, and they like to play with my big dogs. They're also good on leashes and love to go for walks. I don't believe they are more than a year old and probably won't get much bigger. Currently they are between 10 and 15 lbs. Please consider adopting these two and giving them a home in time for the holidays!

Story
Bailey is a sweet & affectionate girl, born on 9/1/24. We were told she's Bernese Mountain Dog / Poodle mix, she's about 30lbs, spayed, fully vaccinated, & microchipped. Great w/kids, other dogs, & cats. She has dog park experience, has been off-leash w/ excellent recall, & enjoys socializing w/ both people & pets. Loves daily walks & drive-thru pup cups! She's a loving cuddle bug who enjoys lounging on the back of the couch, & sleeping in the funniest positions. She loves carrying stuffed animals, blankets, & the occasional shoe. She's house-trained + crate-trained for bedtime. She thrives on companionship. When left unattended for long periods, she can get into mischief such as chewing cords, wood, outdoor cushions, or digging holes in the yard. These behaviors aren't present when she has supervision. When someone knocks on the door, Bailey may bark or give a low growl at first. This isn't aggressive behavior, she's cautious+ alert & warms up quickly.

Story
Ollie is such a sweet and special boy with a quiet and lovely nature. Ollie is an 1 ½ -year-old, 14-pound wheat-colored Poodle/Chihuahua mix (his mother is a Poodle and dad is a Chihuahua). Ollie is a lovable pup who will need time to adjust to his new surroundings. He thrives best in a calmer environment, ideally with another friendly dog. He loves snuggling up with other dogs, and having a canine companion would be perfect for him! Because of Ollie’s gentle, bashful demeanor, we recommend a home with adults or older teenagers. He may take his time warming up, but once he trusts you, you’ll see his sweet and gentle nature shine through. Ollies does well at the sanctuary using the doggie door to go potty outside, He will benefit from some leash training to help him build confidence. Ollie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, making him ready for adoption! If you think you can open your heart and home to this sweet boy, come meet Ollie he promises to be an adorable addition to the family. He deserves a warm and loving environment where someone can show him lots of love. Thank you for considering adopting Ollie, he's sure to bring so much joy and companionship to the right home. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
