Story
Hello , my name is LANDON and boy, do I have a story to tell you. I was picked up on the streets in South Florida by animal control as a stray with no microchip, and no one claimed me. I was a real mess. I would share a picture, but it would make you cry like my foster mom did. I would love, love to be the only dog in your life so I get all the attention. I am about 4 years old, neutered, up to date with all my vaccines, heartworm and fecal negative, had a dental and I am on heartworm prevention. I have settled into foster care very well and love being in a home where I am loved and cared for. I am completely house trained, I have never been crated, and I sleep where I want, with my foster mom, on the couch or next to the bed on a rug. I do have a couple of quirks but they are easy to work around. I eat my bowl of food in about 2 seconds flat so please let me finish before you take my bowl away because I may growl if you try. I do not bite. Just tell me to stop and I will. Going to the vet is my least favorite thing to do. I am kind of sassy with the vet techs but if you leave me on the leash and walk me to where you want, I will be a good boy. I did go to a great trainer who said that no one has ever taught me manners. Just a subtle correction with the leash helps me understand what I am supposed to do. I need to be adopted by an experienced dog owner who will understand me and help me continue learning good manners. No first time dog owners please. My good traits include sitting on your lap, snuggling, and getting belly rubs. I will sit like a good boy to get a treat from you. I love car rides even though I bark at everyone who walks by. Tug of war is my favorite game. I like to go outside and patrol the yard to make sure there are no critters out there. My home needs to have a totally above ground fenced yard. I really want to be the only pet because I like all the attention. I have never been around children so no kids please. I started out in rough shape but the good folks at Coastal Poodle Rescue have made sure that I have had excellent vet care, great grooming and a loving foster home. Please give me a chance. If you meet me, you would see that I would be a perfect guy for you. If you wish to be considered for Landon or any of our dogs, you are welcome to start the process by filling out an Adoption Application which can be found on our website at www.coastalpoodlerescue.org . Story
Marvin the Munchkin, a charming medium-sized poodle, is seeking a loving home. He enjoys snuggling and is wonderful with children. He would thrive in a home where his new family can dedicate quality time to him, as his current owner is no longer able to provide the companionship he needs, leading to him spending extended periods alone.

Story
Marty is being fostered in PA. Little Marty is a sweet, easy-going little mini poodle guy who gets along with dogs and cats and people of all ages. His breed is guessed at as a full blooded mini poodle. His estimated age is about 13 but he's a very quick-stepping little man and enjoys exploring his environment, especially outside. He can find his way to the door and he was doing a great job at pottying outside until his foster mom went back to work a couple weeks ago. He will be very easy to get back in the habit of eliminating outside with a forever family who is home more. He's fairly easy to figure out in that, if he's up and exploring, he needs to go out. :) Marty has a very thin coat of fur on his torso but he does not have any visible skin issues and does not itch. His thyroid levels were checked and were fine. We know little about his past life so he may be recuperating from a past issue. Marty is leash trained and does well but because he's a small and older guy, walks won't be very fast. He also rides well in the car. At this time, he seems to enjoy dog bed hopping over being on a lap and he will walk right off the edge of a chair or bed. He needs to be carried up and down stairs and has no awareness of being at the top of stairs. He will remind his foster mom if his breakfast or dinner is overly late. Marty has had a slight cough since arriving in his foster home and following an xray on September 16th, it was discovered that his heart is slightly enlarged and he has a small amount of fluid in the upper portion of his one lung. These are both signs of congestive heart failure, which is fairly common in little old men like Marty. He will probably need to take Benazepril, Lasix and Pimobendan for the rest of his life. These medications run about 50.00 per month. Marty will have a dental on September 26th. He will probably need to have most, if not all, of his teeth extracted but it will be so much better for him to have a healthy mouth again! Marty will make a sweet little companion for some family. He's very excited to be spoiled and doted on for the rest of his days. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Casper foster update:    Casper and Mack have been back with us for about a week.   They are happy boys and while they sleep quite a bit, they also love to be outside and with their people.    They can get quite loud so would probably be best in a home without shared walls.    While they are housetrained for the most part, we have noticed some marking and have seen Casper use a pee pad.    They can be very underfoot so this needs to be taken into consideration by any prospective adopters.     Being distinguished seniors, they have their share of lumps and bumps as is to be expected.    Casper, more than Mack, does have some vision and hearing loss and he can be apprehensive about the one step we have at our house so we would also recommend a one story home for them.  Casper came to PRBJ from a high kill shelter in search of a second chance.  He is a sweet senior pup hoping to win your heart.  He does well with other dogs and loves people.  He is looking for a quiet retirement so a home with no small kids and limited traffic. Mack and Casper lost their mom recently and were brought to Judy.     They are adorable furbabies and should be adopted together so they do not have even more loss in their lives.    We would like them to have a fenced yard.   They love running around in the yard and are so joyful doing so.      They run around in the yard and then are ready for a good nap!   We are still learning about them as they just arrived and will up date their pages as we learn more.    They will both require "hair care" so any potential adopter will need to be up for that!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2025, 2:58 pm
