MEET BABY BOY! HI!!! I'm Baby Boy! As you can imagine, even before my name stuck, Grandma often gave me kisses while I was sitting in her lap, calling me “her baby boy.” Oh, how I loved that. I loved her, loved getting her lovings & honestly, I just LOVE to be loved. If I could attach myself to my person, I would. And when I'm REALLY excited to see you, I have the most adorable, toothy little grin! Yep, I actually SMILE at you. How's THAT for a welcome-home greeting?! That being said, I absolutely HATE being in a crate & am not a fan of you leaving. I will bark, yip & let everyone know how much I don't like it, either! So an apartment, condo or townhome-style home wouldn't be ideal, as your neighbors may not appreciate my rather vocal opinions. Now, to be fair, I've had to spend a LOT of time in a crate while recovering from surgery. Foster Mom isn't sure how vocal I'd be if I weren't confined, but I still need some work with housetraining, so having complete freedom isn't quite an option yet. I'm a 6-year-old, 15-pound Poodle mix. A little stockier than your typical Poodle, but that just means there's more of me to love! For most of my life, I shared a home with a whole bunch of other dogs. We didn't get to experience things like leash walks, meeting new people or exploring new places, but one thing we DID know was love. Grandma made sure of that. And if there's one thing I learned really well, it's how wonderful it feels to be curled up next to someone who loves you. Foster Mom was told I'm a “true sweetheart who wants nothing more than to attach himself to your side at all times.” Yep. That pretty much sums me up! I'm vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped & on heartworm prevention. My brother Naga & I also had perianal hernias that required surgery. Both repairs were more extensive than expected, as our bladders & prostates were inside the hernias. Thankfully, we're healing nicely! Foster Mom adds warm water & a dollop of pumpkin to our kibble to make everything nice & soft so we don't have to strain while healing. Our biggest challenge? Keeping me OFF the couch! It's my favorite place, whether you're sitting there or not. I even staged a little crate rebellion and managed to reopen my incision, which meant another trip to the vet for stitches. Apparently, that was NOT part of my recovery plan. I'm doing better now, but Foster Mom says I really need to work on following doctor's orders. Here's where YOU come in. Will you help me become a more confident Adventure Buddy? My housetraining is coming along pretty darn well, especially compared to some of the other boys! Foster Mom plays the “check your pants” game. Clean pants? Treat! Potty in the yard? Treat & a “good potty!” Wait patiently while she puts everyone's pants back on? Another treat. I almost always get treats! Consistency is key, and with more one-on-one attention, I think I'll do even better. I'll also need help with leash training. I'm getting comfortable having one attached, but the big world outside is still a little scary. I could be a flight risk while learning, so a securely fenced yard is required while I build confidence, learn leash skills & bond with my person. I really like being with you (& treats!), so I feel like once we connect, if you go slow, at my pace & avoid crazy busy places at first, I'll do well with this. You & I working together on this — oh, the bond we'll have! Personally, after living with so many dogs, I think I'd really like to have someone all to myself. It's not that I don't get along with other dogs. I do! But WOW — how wonderful would it be to get all the lovings, all the adventures & all the attention? That sounds beautiful. Or maybe you have another pup who doesn't mind letting ME have all the lovings. Perhaps your furbaby is more independent, but YOU want a love bug? HI!! I'M YOUR GUY er BABY BOY!! And as much as I LOVE being with my person, I also need to learn that it's okay when we're not glued together. Building independence, socialization, enrichment & taking little adventures at my own pace will help me become a more confident guy. I'll need someone patient who understands that learning to be comfortable alone doesn't happen overnight. Cats? Dunno! We don't have any test kitties here. Kids? Older, respectful ones would be lovely. Elementary-aged kids could work, too, as long as YOU make sure I'm respected. No lying on me or pulling my ears or tail, please! I'm a pretty amazing little love sponge who would love nothing more than to spend my days loving someone who loves me just as much. Adoption Requirements: Applicants must live within 150 miles of Jacksonville, FL. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations & receiving consistent heartworm prevention. A solid veterinary reference with an established history of routine care, including proof of heartworm prevention, is required. Home check required. MEET NAGA! Well, hello there! Nice to meet you. I'm Naga! Yes, I too love getting lovings, scratches & attention, much like my brother Baby Boy, but I'm a little more of a quiet, independent (not quite so needy) kinda guy. I'm happy with a nice balance of lovings & just hanging close. Mind you, I DO enjoy being in your lap or next to you on the couch, just not quite as much as my brother. I've also become one of Foster Dad's favorite buddies! I am, however, NOT a fan of being in a crate or of you leaving. I will bark, yip & let everyone know how much I don't like it! So an apartment, condo or townhome-style home wouldn't be ideal, as your neighbors may not appreciate my opinions. Now, to be fair, I've had to spend a LOT of time in a crate while recovering from surgery. We didn't get to experience things like leash walks, meeting new people or exploring new places, but one thing we DID know was love. Grandma made sure of that. And while I enjoy a good cuddle, I'm also pretty content just hanging out nearby, keeping you company without needing to be attached to you every minute. I'm vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped & on heartworm prevention. My brother Baby Boy & I also had perianal hernias that required surgery. Both repairs were more extensive than expected, as our bladders & prostates were inside the hernias. Mine was especially extensive, requiring additional work to remove abdominal contents & irrigate old stool before the repairs could begin. Thankfully, we're both healing nicely! Foster Mom adds warm water & a dollop of pumpkin to our kibble to make everything nice & soft so we don't have to strain while healing. Here's where YOU come in. Will you help me become a more confident Adventure Buddy? My housetraining is coming along, but Foster Mom thinks some of my accidents are actually marking. With so many dogs here, I apparently feel the need to make my presence known! She's hopeful that in a home with no other dogs, or perhaps just one, I'll do much better once we get through that initial learning curve. She's been playing the “check your pants” game with us. Clean pants? Treat! Potty in the yard? Treat & a “good potty!” Wait patiently while she puts everyone's pants back on? Another treat. I'm doing pretty darn well with this, but consistency & one-on-one attention will be important. I'll also need help with leash training. It's not that I don't get along with other dogs. I do! But WOW — how wonderful would it be to just be me & you, living life, exploring new things together & then coming home to a calmer, quieter place where we can simply enjoy each other's company? Doesn't that sound lovely? And although I'm a little more independent than my brother, I still need to learn that it's okay when my person isn't around. Building confidence through socialization, enrichment & little adventures at my own pace will help me become more comfortable with the world around me. I'll need someone patient who understands that these things don't happen overnight. Cats? Dunno! We don't have any test kitties here. Kids? Older, respectful ones would be lovely. Elementary-aged kids could work, too, as long as YOU make sure I'm respected. No lying on me or pulling my ears or tail, please! I'm a pretty amazing little love sponge who would love to have a person of my very own to share life's adventures with — and maybe a comfy spot on the couch when we're done. He’s a 2 year old male mini poodle. Between school and work, I’m away a lot, and he spends more time by himself than I’d like. I want him to have a home where he can spend more time with his people, play, and be included in their everyday life. I’m rehoming him because I want him to have the attention and companionship he deserves.

Poppi 🐾 I'm Poppi, a senior gentleman who's all about the simple pleasures in life! I'm a small boy who's already neutered and had a nice dental cleaning. I’m perfectly content being your loyal, gentle companion- I just want a cozy spot on the couch and your affection. 💙 I may be blind, but that doesn't slow down. I navigate really well! And my love for cuddles and splashing in the water, and my calm, low-energy nature means I'm the perfect friend for a relaxed home. Come meet me and let's spend our golden years together. 🐶
