Story
****We are updating Joey post, apparently there was an oversight on his listing previously. Yes, Joey is FULLY vetted(neutered, chipped, up to date on all Vaccinations, and he is housebroken.) When responding PLEASE use application at sparrowdogs.com, or you can also provide your information via email, such as:home, family, yard/fence, other pets, ages of people in the home, work hours...Thanks! What an adorable little boy--we couldn't agree more!! Joey is a cutie, just a year old, about 14 pounds and already knows a number of commands and is...drum roll...housebroken!! We were told by the previous owner Joey is a Maltipoo, but I am guessing there may be a little something else in there, he looks a little Bichon...but I could be wrong?? He came from a family that had dogs that had puppies. Whatever he is, he appears to be one of the more hypoallergenic dogs. As a foster home, we really appreciate that last skill...taking a housebroken dog into our home is a huge plus. But, with that said, his new family will have to continue to reinforce those behaviors and keep him on the right path. Please read this bio fully before responding, we know Joey is a highly adoptable dog based on his age, breed(s) and size. BUT...he came to rescue because of his fearfulness and a bit of anxiety. Joey had a person that loved and cared for him, but they had school, work and a change in pet policy at their home. They did the best they could and took Joey to a shelter where he could be cared for. Who can blame him for being anxious and scared? So, coming into our foster home he was initially fearful and standoffish with the people. He was introduced to the other dogs in the home and soon was doing great with them. Joey needs a home that will understand that he needs a little time to trust them, it is a matter of letting him settle in on his terms. He is young, perhaps undersocialized(he is young and can put that behind him) and needs a little more time to understand you are OK and he is safe. A dog savvy/experience home is a must, a little TLC and patience goes a long way, and he is so worth it. Joey has been with us over a month and is the most lovable guy ever. He loves hugs and snuggles, his toys and other dogs. He is so happy when he has someone that can keep up with him, he lives to zoom around the yard, and even soar over top of the other dogs, he can fly!! A fenced yard is a must, Joey needs the freedom to run. Older kids will be fine, another social dog in the home would be great. He is a very special boy, always ready for some fun, he will do well with an active family that will not leave him alone for long hours. Like so many wonderful rescue dogs, Joey just needs a special family with an little bit of patience, we will melt your heart!! He is getting groomed this week, we will post his handsome new pics!!! His adoption fee is $450. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com. Personality traits Affectionate, Athletic, Curious, Funny, Gentle, Loves Kisses, Loyal, Playful, Quiet, Smart

Story
****When responding PLEASE tell us a bit about yourself(home, yard/fence, other pets, family, work hours) and such. If you see this post, yes, he is available. We appreciate your interest, but please, no phone calls. This young fella is Charles, and yes, he certainly deserves a royal name, he is quite the dapper young man. Plus, he came to us with a shirt that says, "King of the Dog Park!" He is polite, well mannered, keeps to himself, and is doing very well mingling with the other dogs in our home. He is intimidated by pushy dogs, so he will be fine as an only dog. Charles had a home, apparently they bought him from a breeder a number of years ago. It is hard for any dog to have a home and enter the rescue/shelter situation, but some dogs just have a more difficult time. Charles is one of those dogs. His family loved him, but his owner had serious health issues and could no longer care for him. It is sad to see, we know he is missing his people that he loved. They taught him to sit, stay and be a good boy. In their home he loved his squeaky toys and riding in the car. He loved to sniff around outside and explore, walked well on a leash. He was happy. He is doing so well navigating his new world, he is enjoying being outside, played with some toys and is the very best greeter of guests. Charles makes any visitor feel very welcome, he is such a love. So if you are looking for a guard dog, lol, Charles is not your guy! Charles is so happy with his meals and treats, and some dental chews. He has done so amazingly well in a short time, his new family will show him the same patience and let him settle in, and what a wonderful little guy he is!! Charles is going to be someone's special buddy again, we are looking for a family that can be with him most of the time, no long hours alone, and a patient family that can help Charles settle in to his new happy life. He has become quite the snuggler! Charles is about 4.5 years old and 10 pounds. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com, his adoption fee is $375.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bonnie is a very energetic and loving little girl.  She is a little big for miniture poodle but is still a tiny girl.  She loves to play and run around.  She chases the cats and while she is not aggressive towards them she would probably do best in a home without cats or small animals.  She is great with kids though and fine with other dogs.  She came in with her bestie...Clyde...and they will need to be adopted together.  They love to snuggle and nap together.  They are both crate trained, learning to walk on a leash and basic commands.  They are fixed, chipped, and up to date on vaccines. Their adoption fee is $700 for the pair To adopt Bonnie and Clyde, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/forms Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 21, 2026, 9:28 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Clyde is a super playful and loves to carry his toys around all day.  He does well with his crate training and is working on learning his basic commands and walking well on a leash.  He loves treats and that has been helpful in teaching him some skills.  He and Bonnie came in together and love to snuggle together so they will need to be adopted as a pair.  Clyde does chase cats a lot and while he isn't aggressive we are still recommending that he does not go to a home with cats or small animals.  He is great with other dogs and kids though.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. Hi I’m Theo and I’m a 3 year old 13lb Cockapoos mix lil boy who is looking for someone to love me forever and ever. If you want to add a little unconditional love to your life...I am right here!! I’m a fun loving guy who likes to live life to the fullest. I am in search of my forever family and home that will love me and make endless memories with me. I am the missing piece to completing your wonderful family. Investing your love into me will be so worth it!! I am good with children and other dogs. I was rescued from an overcrowded rural shelter. Please add a lotta unconditional love, sloppy kisses, tail wags and endless happiness to your family and contact jbrescuerangers@yahoo.com for an adoption application and bring me home. I will come with the works (neutered, up to date on everything, micro chipped, fecal, heart worm tested if age appropriate, heartworm, flea and tick prevented, a free vet visit and medical insurance). What more could a new family ask for? Love and Kisses, Theo

Story
We do appreciate your interest in Gussie!! We have a request that will help us so much, when responding will you please use the application at sparrowdogs.com, or begin our correspondence with information about yourself such as home, yard/fence, other pets, family, work hours. Thanks!! We call this big fluffy guy Augustus...he came to us as August was soon to arrive. But, he is not a really formal guy, actually he is kind of silly and goofy, so Gussie fits him just fine. Gussie is about 15 pounds and around 2 years old. He was described as a "Yorkiepoo"...perhaps, we really do not know. He looks like he could be havanese, perhaps something else, we are not guaranteeing any breed but he appears to be a mix of the more hypoallergenic ones. He had a family that "abandoned him", not sure what that entailed, but he was no longer with them. Another family took him in for two weeks and then gave him up to a shelter. Gussie was at a large shelter and was more than overwhelmed, and like so many was not on his best behavior. Since coming to our home he has settled in and has been so incredibly lovable. He is the type of dog that just want to be your best pal, he is THE dog that will be by your side. He looks at us with those loving eyes, as if he has known us his entire life! He so wants to find that special love in his life. WE love Gussie, but he really needs his very own special people. BUT....transitioning to a new home may bring some challenges as well, some dog experience, patience and TLC go a long way. OLDER kids will be OK, no littles at this time. He has been nothing but sweet and loving with his people, but is anxious around some other dogs, so being an only dog would probably be best, Gussie wants you all to himself!! Again, with all that being said, Gussie has been a little teddy bear in our home. He is polite, housebroken, happily goes into his crate when we leave or go to bed. He loves carrying around his favorite toys and is getting more and more comfortable running around and playing with the other dogs. He is the sweetest boy ever, he will go out and explore the yard and then have to run back and sit whomsoever feet happen to be joining him in the yard. He was a very scruffy boy bot got all cleaned up and looking fab!. He is such a handsome boy, and his haircut will only accentuate what a cutie he is!! Gussie's adoption fee is $450,now $400 for the month of August!! Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com
