You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bonnie is a very energetic and loving little girl.  She is a little big for miniture poodle but is still a tiny girl.  She loves to play and run around.  She chases the cats and while she is not aggressive towards them she would probably do best in a home without cats or small animals.  She is great with kids though and fine with other dogs.  She came in with Clyde but we think they would probably be okay on their own as well.  She is crate trained, leash trained, and working on her basic commands.  She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. This sweet Terrier mix was born on December 14, 2025, and she is an absolute joy! Her vet believes she may be a Miniature Poodle mix, and one thing is certain—she has a wonderful personality. She is super friendly, dog-friendly, and kid-friendly. She loves being with her people and will happily follow you everywhere. Even on leash, she wants to stay right by your side—she’s definitely a little shadow! Her favorite place is wherever you are. She loves to cuddle beside you, climb onto your chest, and lay her head down for some extra snuggles. She is still working on potty training, but she is improving every day and making great progress. She truly is a wonderful dog with so much love to give. She is incredibly sweet, gets along with everyone, and loves nothing more than curling up in your lap. She truly is just a wonderful little dog. Skittles was found roaming the streets of deep South Texas without a collar or identification. She was not spayed and had heart worm disease, which is unfortunately very common in the Southern states. She has since been spayed and treated for heart worms. Because of her Poodle-type coat, Skittles will require regular professional grooming. If you would like to see additional videos of her, just let us know! Skittles is located at our shelter near San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to Geneva, IL on October 17th with approved application and confirmed adoption. Her adoption fee is $450. Sinker is an adorable little 3-year-old Poodle/Westie mix (our best guess!) who weighs about 15 pounds. He came to us from deep South Texas, where he was found as a stray with no collar, no microchip, and unneutered. Despite his rough start, Sinker has a heart of gold. He’s a sweet, gentle, tender-hearted boy who loves people and gets along beautifully with other dogs. His quiet, affectionate personality makes him the kind of companion who simply wants to be close to his people. Sinker is currently being fostered in Hondo, Texas. We do appreciate your interest in Gussie!! We have a request that will help us so much, when responding will you please use the application at sparrowdogs.com, or begin our correspondence with information about yourself such as home, yard/fence, other pets, family, work hours. Thanks!! We call this big fluffy guy Augustus...he came to us as August was soon to arrive. But, he is not a really formal guy, actually he is kind of silly and goofy, so Gussie fits him just fine. Gussie is about 15 pounds and around 2 years old. He was described as a "Yorkiepoo"...perhaps, we really do not know. He looks like he could be havanese, perhaps something else, we are not guaranteeing any breed but he appears to be a mix of the more hypoallergenic ones. He had a family that "abandoned him", not sure what that entailed, but he was no longer with them. Another family took him in for two weeks and then gave him up to a shelter. Gussie was at a large shelter and was more than overwhelmed, and like so many was not on his best behavior. Since coming to our home he has settled in and has been so incredibly lovable. He is the type of dog that just want to be your best pal, he is THE dog that will be by your side. He looks at us with those loving eyes, as if he has known us his entire life! He so wants to find that special love in his life. WE love Gussie, but he really needs his very own special people. BUT....transitioning to a new home may bring some challenges as well, some dog experience, patience and TLC go a long way. OLDER kids will be OK, no littles at this time. He has been nothing but sweet and loving with his people, but is anxious around some other dogs, so being an only dog would probably be best, Gussie wants you all to himself!! Again, with all that being said, Gussie has been a little teddy bear in our home. He is polite, housebroken, happily goes into his crate when we leave or go to bed. He loves carrying around his favorite toys and is getting more and more comfortable running around and playing with the other dogs. He is the sweetest boy ever, he will go out and explore the yard and then have to run back and sit whomsoever feet happen to be joining him in the yard. He was a very scruffy boy bot got all cleaned up and looking fab!. He is such a handsome boy, and his haircut will only accentuate what a cutie he is!!
