Story
All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Meet Ned — the sweetest little senior sidekick you’ll ever meet. At 10 years old and just 8.5 pounds, this miniature poodle mix is the definition of a gentle soul. Ned may be tiny, but his heart (and his curly little tail) have a way of filling a home with calm, happy energy. Ned is an easygoing companion who loves being near his people—whether he’s curled up on the couch, snoozing while you watch TV, or quietly supervising meal prep like the world’s cutest sous chef. He enjoys soft treats and pup cups, making him an excellent food critic despite having no teeth! He moves around the house with ease, happily exploring on his own or settling in near other dogs. He’s been friendly with everyone he’s met—men, women, and dogs of all sizes—and his foster family says he “doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.” He walks nicely on leash, enjoys car rides, and is overall just a sweet, loyal, adaptable little guy. If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Ned is ready to be your tiny best friend. Senior dogs have a special kind of magic—and Ned is no exception. His minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Kringle! Kringle is a 5 year old Poodle Mix weighing 20 lbs.  Kringle is a friendly, reserved, outgoing, and happy pup who’s ready to find a family of his own. He’s fully house and crate trained, sleeps quietly through the night in his kennel, and has wonderful manners in the home. He’s great with dogs and kids, though he hasn’t been exposed to cats yet. Kringle loves playing with toys and enjoys spending time with other dogs, but he’s also perfectly content doing his own thing. His foster mom says he’s an amazing dog who just needs a little time to get comfortable. Once he settles in, he’s incredibly quiet—he may bark occasionally, but otherwise he barely makes a sound. He adores his dog bed and is happy to relax nearby while you go about your day. If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing companion who brings a calm, happy presence to the home, Kringle might be the perfect match. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
