Romeo is an adorable Miniature Poodle who will celebrate his 1st birthday on December 30th. And just look at those gorgeous blue eyes! Romeo came to Furry Kids as a breeder release because he did not sell. He can be a little shy and cautious at first, but he has already shown us that it doesn’t take him long to start feeling comfortable. He will approach people and is learning very quickly that getting attention and affection is a pretty great thing! Romeo is also starting to discover how much fun it is to be a young dog. He is just beginning to play with toys, and we’re seeing more and more of his personality as he settles in. He is currently working on housebreaking and will need his new family to continue helping him with his potty routine. Romeo will also need a securely fenced yard. We would like Romeo to have another friendly, confident dog in his forever home. A canine companion will give him someone to play with, learn from, and help continue building his confidence as he adjusts to family life. Romeo is a sweet young boy who simply needs a family willing to give him a little time to settle in. He has already come around quickly, and we think with love, patience, a canine buddy, and plenty of new experiences, he is going to make a wonderful little companion. Romeo is ready to find out just how good life as a beloved family dog can be! â¤ï¸ Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. Romeo has been neutered, wormed, microchipped, and is fully vaccinated. He also tested heartworm negative. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. -I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.My home needs are: -I am more confident when a have a dog friend with me. Wayside recommends meeting resident dogs to make sure we can be buddies. I must go to a home that has a social resident dog already.-If you have kids in the home 9 years old and younger, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises. -For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.Hi, I am Paisley,I am the sweetest 7 year old you will ever meet. I am a great size at 21 pounds. I am a sweet, shy girl who is just learning about life `on the outside`. I can be fearful of new things and new experiences. I want to be near people and I love other dogs. I will need a patient adopter who can help me learn about the world. With a little time and patience, I`m sure to make a lovely friend!I have made a lot of progress on walking on a leash. Some of my friends helped me learn to do it and we now go for walks. I love to go on long, sniffy walks. Are you looking a walking buddy? I would love to walk with you.Here at the shelter, I really like other dogs! I like to follow them around and cuddle. I love to chase them around the yard. We do these things called play groups here. It is so much fun to just run in the yard! I would do well with other calmer, social dogs.I am currently getting a break from the shelter. There is another dog here in foster but we both ignore each other. I really like to check everything out but haven`t gotten in to anything. I love the fenced yard. We go for walks in the morning. Hi-ho, Kermit the dog here! 💚 **record scratch 📀 ** Say what? Yep, this is Kermit the DOG – not to be confused with that other…green guy 🐸. But just as much fun. Kermit is a silly boy and a great dog to live with. He’s a 5-year-old Poodle mix who weighs around 70 pounds of fluffy bounciness 🦘. His main skill set involves zooming around the large yard, quickly and efficiently 💫. He has a lot of energy 🌟 and loves to be able to stretch his legs and cover lots of ground. He comes when he’s called, and he’ll sit on command too, so he is good at downshifting when he needs to. Kermit is very social with other dogs and with people. He approaches people eagerly so he can show them how much he likes them 🤗. He’s independent and likes to craft his own exercise routines 🏋️‍♂️ and games. But once he has burned off his energy, he’d sure like to do some cuddling 🥱. He is house-trained and crate-trained and all that good stuff, so he is easy to live with. His goofiness 😅 always shines through at just the right moments 🙃. He should have a large fenced yard 🌳 or someplace where he can exercise a lot daily. He hasn’t been around kids, so we don’t know how he does with them. Same goes for cats. He will need regular grooming. Kermit is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175.
