He is all white, sweet and playful with the other dogs. Came into the rescue from southern Ohio. Doesn't appear he had much interaction with people as early on he appears standoffish. Has no problem being picked up and held. He looks to be coming out of his shell and will be a great dog.

Milo is a male Havapoo (Havanese Poodle mix).He weighs 11 lbs and will be 2 yrs old in September. It’s our understanding that after Milo’s owner passed away, a family member kept him chained in the basement where he was alone, sitting in his own feces and urine. An angel who learned of his situation stepped in and offered to take Milo, saving him from this life of extreme neglect and abuse. Unfortunately Milo was attacked by their neighbor’s dogs. After that they felt they weren’t able to provide for his needs. That’s when they reached out and asked us to take him into the rescue. He came to us underweight, severely matted with eye, ear and skin infections. We are happy to say Milo is now healthy and loving life! He is looking forward to finding his forever home where he can live his best life. Milo is up to date on vaccines and HW/flea/tick prevention. All of his bloodwork came back normal. He has healed from the infections and the injury to his neck from the dog attack. Milo was neutered and had his teeth cleaned on 5/14. Milo is an absolute sweetheart! It’s remarkable, after all he’s been through, that he has built trust so quickly and is feeling safe in his foster home. * He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. * He loves to cuddle up close and get belly rubs! * He is not fully house-trained but has been doing good with his training. * He loves to play with toys and other dogs. * He has a lot of energy so he will need regular exercise and a securely fenced yard (required, no electric fences) where he can safely run and play. * Milo has been okay around cats. * He is good with kids. We recommend children over the age of 8 due to his small size. * He will need regular brushing and professional grooming a minimum of every 8 weeks to prevent matting. * He is doing well with crate training. * He does great on leash for walks.
