Commercial breeding dogs, year after year, are housed in large numbers in small runs that have both indoor and outdoor access at all times. All day, every day, they are kept alive for one sole purpose... in anticipation for the next litter to make the breeder $$$$! This is 100% what factory farming of dogs looks like. These dogs are extremely fearful of human touch because they rarely are given any human attention. The only interaction these dogs get are when someone comes to feed them or to shove them through to the outside to clean their kennel. The wasted years of emotional neglect takes their toll on these beautiful dogs. It can take weeks, months or even years for them to trust you. Noelle has been in rescue for over a year. She is just now inquisitively coming out of her kennel. We truly believe she is ready to go home. We believe with patience, time, and alot of compassion, she will be a wonderful dog. The years spent in the commercial kennel may always linger in the background. You can see she wants to be loved so badly and yet, her fear holds her back. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hazy joins use from Alabama where she landed in the shelter as a stray. After seeing her cute face, we said please send her our way!Hazy is currently around 6 months old. She currently weighs 30 lbs and most likely will end up around 40ish.  Our best guess on breeds is some type of doodle.  A DNA test has been done, and once we have the results, we will post them! According to Hazy's foster and anyone who has met her,  she is simply an awesome puppy! She is so sweet and friendly :-). She is house trained and does wonderful in her crate. Oh, and she also walks on a leash like a champ! Hazy does well with other dogs and children; we are unsure of cats. This puppy will do well in almost any household! Hazy is microchipped, current on distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccines, current on flea/tick/heartworm preventative and has been dewormed. Raised in a breeding facility, Rudy arrived to us matted and bedraggled, unsure of the world beyond his small kennel. But after a warm bath, a fresh groom, and lots of gentle love, his sweet personality truly came alive. Now Rudy is all about the good life! He loves cuddling in bed with his foster mom and her three canine companions—both big and small. He also lives peacefully with a cat and is doing very well with housetraining. Rudy Joe has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines (with one booster scheduled in two weeks), and is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He is currently being lovingly fostered in the Northumberland, PA community, where he continues to blossom more every day. Rudy Joe is ready for a home where he can keep learning what it means to be cherished—snuggles included. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Adam Wiggleton!UPDATE from ADAM's FOSTER MOM:  Meet Adam, my ridiculously energetic foster dog who's always game for a walk or hike, loves kids, dogs, and protecting his bird feeder from those pesky squirrels, while simultaneously being a deer-watching enthusiast, sunbathing pro, and if going for ice cream he's ready to go with his other furry siblings..oh, and he's trained to ask politely to go out, this scruffy guy is now looking for his forever home!! Santa didn't bring me a home for Christmas - but I'm hoping for my very own home in the New Year. Breed? Your guess is as good as ours — let’s just call him a “Certified Scruff Mix.” At about two years old, this handsome fellow is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to wiggle right into your heart. Adam was found starving as a stray (we suspect he was abandoned), but he hasn’t let his past dim his spirit. He’s now thriving — full of joy, personality, and just the right amount of mischief.  If his demeanor doesn't suck you right in--his soulful eyes certainly will. He’s a total social butterfly: adores kids, adults, and every dog he’s met. He currently shares his home with two canine buddies and we are looking for a home for him with another friendly companion as he loves, loves, loves to play.  Adam is an outdoorsy guy who loves hiking, zooming around with friends, and attending local baseball games with his foster mom — he’s practically the team’s unofficial mascot! &#226&#154&#190 He hasn't lived with cats while in our care, but he has barked and given chase to the stray cats, rabbits, and squirrels when spotted in his foster's back yard.His only “flaw”? He’s a professional countersurfer. We blame his rough start in life… but he’s quick, clever, and very proud of his title. (Foster mom update: this is improving!) Adam is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and is being lovingly fostered in the Selinsgrove area.
