Your guess is as good as ours — let’s just call him a “Certified Scruff Mix.” At about two years old, this handsome fellow is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to wiggle right into your heart. Adam was found starving as a stray (we suspect he was abandoned), but he hasn’t let his past dim his spirit. He’s now thriving — full of joy, personality, and just the right amount of mischief. If his demeanor doesn't suck you right in--his soulful eyes certainly will. He’s a total social butterfly: adores kids, adults, and every dog he’s met. He currently shares his home with two canine buddies and would love to have a playful dog friend in his forever home. Adam is an outdoorsy guy who loves hiking, zooming around with friends, and attending local baseball games with his foster mom — he’s practically the team’s unofficial mascot! &#226&#154&#190 His only “flaw”? He’s a professional countersurfer. We blame his rough start in life… but he’s quick, clever, and very proud of his title. Adam is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and is being lovingly fostered in the Selinsgrove area. Commercial breeding dogs, year after year, are housed in large numbers in small runs that have both indoor and outdoor access at all times. All day, every day, they are kept alive for one sole purpose... in anticipation for the next litter to make the breeder $$$$! This is 100% what factory farming of dogs looks like. These dogs are extremely fearful of human touch because they rarely are given any human attention. The only interaction these dogs get are when someone comes to feed them or to shove them through to the outside to clean their kennel. The wasted years of emotional neglect takes their toll on these beautiful dogs. It can take weeks, months or even years for them to trust you. Noelle has been in rescue for over a year. She is just now inquisitively coming out of her kennel. We truly believe she is ready to go home. We believe with patience, time, and alot of compassion, she will be a wonderful dog. The years spent in the commercial kennel may always linger in the background. You can see she wants to be loved so badly and yet, her fear holds her back. Meet Waffle Almost 2 years old-Cavapoo Waffle came to us from a breeding situation, and despite everything she’s been through, she has remained nothing but soft, loving, and full of quiet sweetness. She’s the kind of dog who looks up at you with big, hopeful eyes, just wanting warmth, safety, and someone who sees her for who she truly is.Waffle does have a heart condition called Subaortic Stenosis (SAS), and her case is on the more severe side. This means there is a significant narrowing just below one of her main heart valves, causing her heart to work much harder to move blood throughout her body.Because of this, Waffle will need:- Lifelong monitoring- Regular veterinary care (possibly including a cardiologist)- Potential long-term medication- A family willing to give her that extra layer of careDogs with more severe SAS can still live loving, joyful lives but they do need someone committed to keeping them comfortable, safe, and supported.And Waffle?She’s worth every bit of it.She is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly soulful. She loves cuddles, soft sweaters, slow walks in the sunshine, and simply being close to the people she trusts.
