Story
I’ve known Rocky since he was a puppy. My sister originally got him, but when she was no longer able to care for him, I took him in. He is now 2 years old and weighs about 14 pounds. He is potty trained, very friendly, and loves being around people. He’s incredibly smart, learns quickly, and knows some tricks. He has a playful, high-energy personality and loves games, walks, and activities that keep him busy. One of his favorite things is being around other dogs. He loves to play and socialize with them, and I think he would do best in a home that already has another friendly dog to be his companion. I’m looking for a loving, stable home where he’ll be treated like part of the family. Ideally, his new owner will have the time and energy to give him regular exercise, playtime, and lots of affection. This is a very difficult decision for me. I’m rehoming him because I’m moving, and unfortunately my new living situation does not allow dogs. If I had another option, I would keep him.

Meet Chase Male DOB: May 7, 2026 Weight: 5 lbs (current — still growing) Breed: Poodle / Terrier Mix Expected Size: Small breed (small to medium when fully grown) Neutered (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: In Progress (puppy vaccines up to date for age) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Chase is a sweet, gentle, and loving young puppy with a calm and affectionate nature. He enjoys being close to people and feels safest when he is being held, comforted, or included in daily life. He has a soft personality and a kind spirit that makes him easy to fall in love with. At this very young age, Chase is still learning about the world around him. Everything is new, and he is in a critical stage of development where love, structure, and positive experiences will shape the adult dog he becomes. He enjoys quiet cuddles, gentle play, and exploring at a puppy pace. As a Poodle / Terrier mix, Chase is likely to grow into a smart, curious, and people-oriented dog. This mix often produces dogs that are affectionate, alert, and eager to bond closely with their families. He will benefit from guidance, early training, and positive reinforcement as he grows. Chase would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily care, playtime, and enrichment Positive socialization experiences Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being He is in the earliest stage of life and will need a family ready for the full puppy journey, including training, patience, and long-term commitment. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like most rescue puppies, Chase may not have had early structure, exposure, or training before entering care. Puppies at this age are still developing basic life skills and require constant supervision and gentle guidance. Adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, accidents, teething, nighttime wakeups, and learning household routines. These are completely normal and will improve with consistency and training. Chase will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Patience, consistency, and supervision Gentle guidance during development Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn routine 3 months to feel fully at home With stability and love, Chase will grow into a confident, happy companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, and emotional responsibility. Chase will need: Routine vet visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care (fleas, ticks, parasites) Proper nutrition for healthy growth Daily exercise and enrichment Safe indoor living environment Ongoing training and socialization Because he is so young, consistency, structure, and supervision are essential for healthy development. Chase is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Hi, I'm Nathan! I'm a 1-year-old poodle weighing in at a perfectly portable 17 pounds. Yep, Nathan... a very respectable name for a very adorable dog, if you ask me. I may sound like I should be answering emails or scheduling meetings, but I'd much rather spend my time chasing toys, soaking up pets, and hanging out with my favorite people. I'm a friendly little guy who enjoys making new friends, walking nicely by your side, and showing off my playful side. I'm happy to trade my toys instead of keeping them all to myself, and I'm always ready for more attention if you're offering it. If you've been looking for a sweet, fun companion, Nathan is officially taking applications! Please email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: White Secondary Color: White Weight: 17 Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks
