Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi. I am Blue Onyx. I am a 1 year old 35 lb. poodle mix. I am a handsome, sweet pup who is ready to find my forever family. Besides being cute, I am already showing what a wonderful companion I can be. I have loved every human I have met. I don’t live with any kids, but I did meet a 12 year old boy and did great with him. I may be a little more shy with men, but I come around quickly especially if you have a treat. Has my foster mom told you, I love other dogs . I attend doggy daycare regularly and I do great with all my furry friends. I would be happy in a home with another playful pup or as your one-and-only. I have never met a cat, but my foster mom thinks I would be ok with them with slow introductions. I am sure we can grow to love each other. My crate is not my favorite place to be, but once I settle in, I do great! I do sleep in my crate overnight and when my foster parents work with no issues. I am potty trained as long as I go out on a regular schedule. I am ok on leash. I might say hi briefly if a dog says hello while walking by, but I continue on my walk quickly. I am the kind of pup who will make you smile just by looking at me. I have the cutest ears and the sweetest personality. I love treats, tennis balls, kong toys, and cuddling on the couch. I am young, adorable, playful, and have low to no shedding. Could you ask for anything more? Now I just need a family to love me forever! Story
Meet Mabel ❤️Mabel is a 10-year-old, 5-pound black Poodle who came to CAWS on a lifesaving transport. This tiny little lady is truly one of a kind and absolutely overflowing with sweetness!Mabel has recently received some much-needed medical care and is now settling into her foster home beautifully. She is working on gaining some weight, slowly and safely, and we’re excited to see her continue to thrive.Mabel is house trained and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, both male and female. She loves cuddling on the couch, sleeping with her people and furry siblings, and giving her foster mom the sweetest, gentlest kisses. She also absolutely loves leisurely time in the yard. She is quiet as a mouse and rarely barks—unless you try to crate her alone! Mabel is perfectly happy relaxing in a large crate with other dogs where she can see her people, but she does not like being crated by herself.Because of her tiny size, Mabel needs a calm home without young children or a rowdy environment. A securely fenced yard is required so she can safely enjoy outdoor time at her own pace.Mabel doesn't need a busy life or big adventures. She needs a safe, peaceful home, unconditional love, and someone who will cherish her for the rest of her life. She is a precious little soul who has so much love left to give.If you can give this magnificent little lady the forever home she deserves, please fill out an adoption application to arrange a meet and greet. ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationAugust 13, 2026, 7:17 am

Meet Cane Male DOB: May 7, 2026 Weight: 5 lbs (current — still growing) Breed: Poodle / Terrier Mix Expected Size: Small breed (small to medium when fully grown) Neutered (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: In Progress (puppy vaccines up to age schedule) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Cane is a sweet, cuddly little puppy with a calm and easygoing personality. While many puppies are constantly on the move, Cane has a more relaxed approach to life and enjoys spending time close to his people. He loves affection, enjoys being held, and is happiest when he feels safe, comfortable, and included. At this young age, Cane is still learning about the world around him. He is curious and playful but tends to approach new experiences with a gentle, thoughtful attitude. His loving nature and relaxed temperament make him a wonderful companion for families looking for a puppy with a softer personality. As a Poodle / Terrier mix, Cane is expected to grow into an intelligent, affectionate, and loyal companion. This mix often produces dogs that are eager to learn, highly people-oriented, and adaptable to many different lifestyles. Early socialization, positive reinforcement, and consistent guidance will help him develop into a confident and well-mannered adult dog. Cane would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily playtime, exercise, and enrichment Positive socialization experiences Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being He is still in the earliest stage of life and will need a family committed to helping him navigate puppyhood with patience, love, and guidance. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like most rescue puppies, Cane may not have had early structure, exposure, or training before entering care. Puppies at this age require supervision, patience, and consistent guidance as they learn basic life skills. Adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, accidents, teething, learning routines, and exploring their environment. These are all part of healthy puppy development. Cane will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Patience, consistency, and supervision Gentle guidance during development Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn routine 3 months to feel fully at home With stability, patience, and love, Cane will grow into a confident and devoted companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, and emotional responsibility. Cane will need: Routine vet visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care (fleas, ticks, parasites) Proper nutrition for healthy growth Daily exercise and enrichment Safe indoor living environment Ongoing training and socialization Because he is very young, consistency and structure are essential for healthy development and confidence building. Cane is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
