Story
We brought home Elsa as a puppy. She's about 8 years old. She likes being the only one getting attention. She is a barker. She know certain words for playing with her ball and shaking her dolls (beat that up). She needs to be walked on a leash. She a fast runner. I have her groomed and cut down her hair once a year. She's good with the groomers. She's a good indoor dog and lap dog. She has excellent hearing and nose. She tries to speak when someone is cutting carrots, pickles, cucumber, watermelon and strawberries. She love potatoes raw too. She gets into the crate easily. Putting in the leash or sweater can be difficult but not impossible. She likes her walk around the park.

Story
Sweet playful sassy pup needs a stable home where she can get lots of love and lots of exercise. She is very smart and learns very easy. She will need lots of play time and lots of exercise. She also has a brother that has the same needs take one or both. They are both extremely active and enjoy being with their person. Please understand this breed can be stubborn, loyal, active, needs lots of stimulation mentally. They both have their own personality the female is dominant and a bit more spicy than the boy. I'd like to see them go together but will do OK separated. Price is negotiable but must be able to properly care for them. They are growing fast and need to get settled in with their permanent family.

Story
Adoption pending on 5/11/24 (We have a transport trip on 5/11/24 to NorCal and OR and would love to add Louie to our route if the right home comes along before then! Transport will be divided between all adopting families in route to help aleviate the total cost) Meet Louie! He is a beautiful, purebred silver miniature schnauzer. He is a little over 1 year of age. He is set to be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated on 4/24/24 and will be available for adoption soon after if all goes well! (His weight will be updated on 4/24/24) He is house trained, and goes outside every couple of hours to use the restroom if needed. He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in a crate at night. He has wonderful house manners so he has free roam of our home during the day. He would love being in the room with his new family if permitted, but will happily sleep in a crate if desired as well. He is leash trained, and does very well on his walks. He rides very well in the car, and loves road trips no matter the distance. He is wonderful at the groomers, and truly enjoys his spa days. He is easy going, and highly adaptable. He is SWEET. He is NOT a barker, and has an extremely quiet, serene tempered, peaceful side to him. He is HAPPY just to be in the presence of his humans. He does NOT have an overbearing personality whatsoever. He is kind hearted. Extremely observant. He is a people and dog watcher 😂 He just likes observing the world at every angle, and truly teaches us to slow down and just take even the smallest things in. He is your definition of a true companion. Loving to dogs, and cats alike. Loves men, women, and children. He is shy at first, and will walk up to give you a quick kiss, only to quickly remember his "shyness" 😂 Once he gets to know you, you will become his best friend, and one you do not want to miss out on calling your own ❤️ His owners owned both parents. (It was their first and last litter) and they fell in love with him, so they decided to keep him. Unfortunately raising three, in the end didn't end up being the right choice as he craved human attention and needed more from them than their others needed. They wanted him to have a fulfilled happy life, so they reached out to us here to find that for him ❤️ His adoption fee along with its breakdown will be on our website under his listing at breadoflifek9refuge.org. It will cover his neuter, vaccines, microchip, exam with our vet, time and care since with us these last couple of months, and his training. His adoption fee will be updated if anything else is needed at time of his neuter such as a dental cleaning, etc.

Story
We have a transport trip to NorCal and OR on 5/11/24 and would love to add Kelsie for the right family! Transport will be divided between all adopting families. Meet Kelsie! She is a purebred 6 month old 13.5 lb salt and pepper miniature schnauzer. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental exam and had to have two baby teeth removed that hadn't fallen out yet, but had overall great dental health and didn't need a cleaning, she also had a recent nail trim, had both ears examined, and cleaned, and had a wonderful exam with our vet whome has cleared her to find a home all her own. She is house trained, and has been doing wonderful going out when asked to if she needs to. Her new owners will definitely need to keep a scheduled routine with her moving forward so she continues doing well ❤️ She is crate trained, and will sleep in her crate at night or while you are away for an errand, or evening dinner. She also, loves to sleep in bed with you as well and is very respectful of shared space but won't turn down a cuddle session either ☺️ She is leash trained, and really loves her walks whenever she can get them! She is wonderful with ALL dogs, big or small. However she really loves human affection and attention over dog friends even at her young age. She is very Velcro to her person, and will follow them everywhere. She aims to please, and wants to make her human proud of her ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Training has come very easy with her, and as long as you are a confident owner, it will come easy for you as well moving forward. She is a talker at times, and will voice her opinion on matters that she feels strongly about 😂 so we are looking for someone familiar with the breed, and someone who has a love for all that comes with a "talkative schnauzer girl," 🙃 She truly is amazing, and I love everything about her, and don't mind a strong minded girl, so if you don't either; then she would be an amazing new addition to your life! She is NOT a barker, but again, very much likes to have conversations however she can fit herself into them 😅 She is amazing with women, men, and children and has taken a special liking to my husband and son which in my opinion is a great thing because a lot of times male figures are the last for any dog to attach to pending their background. And Kelsie just has a special place in her heart for male figures. She loves women too! Just loves men a little more 😊💕 Her adoption fee along with its breakdown is on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org under her listing. It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, two baby teeth extractions, ear cleaning, nail trim, antibiotic shot given to aid in her healing, and her exam along with her overall time and care since with us, and her training we have personally done with her.

Story
Meet Nebby!! Nebby is working quite hard on regrowing his hair. He's not worried though, he now has his allergy meds and he can feel the hair grow. However, until it grows he wears a sweater and looks a little silly. Nebby is a chill dog, he doesn't like to be alone so would love a house with another 4-legged friend or someone who works from home. He came to foster with some great skills and picked up a few while here: crate trainee, leash trained, dog door trained. He'll even let you know when he needs to go potty! Nebby takes meds easily with a treat, knows to sit, stay, and be quiet when asked. He also knows come here, but only when he wants to. On arrival, Nebby was a bit worried about cats. We think he's never seen one before. With slow intros and confident cats, he has learned to be friends. He enjoys the company of other dogs and loves playing. On occasion his favorite way to wrestle can be a bit intimidating, but he is more careful with his friends then he sounds. Nebby is a curious 6-year old altered terrier who loves to explore. He also loves to just crash on the couch and watch TV with you. He is not a fan of most toys but if you wanna run, hike, or wrestle he is all in. He can't wait to meet his forever family. Interested in meeting Nebby?
