Story
Meet Onyx! Onyx is a 5 year old Schnauzer/Poodle mix (or at least she looks like it). She came to us as a stray brought into Fayette County Animal Control so we do not have any history on her past that point. She LOVES her person, but can take a bit to warm up to strangers completely. Onyx is good with kids after spending some time with them. She prefers women to men. She is a barker! You will not need a doorbell with Onyx! Onyx is crate trained and housetrained. She is good on a leash and in the car too! If you are interested in adopting Onyx, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-8062 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

Story
I've had Thor since he was 5 weeks old. He pottied trained in 3 weeks. He is very intelligent. I have a grandson and Thor loves to sleep with him, he watches over him while he . He is playful and likes to be loved on. I rescued him. He is 8 years old. His sister, Gigi, is a blind chihuahua. She is 13 years old and is spunky. They love to play together. It would be great if they could rehome together. I put a picture in with Thor's pictures. Thor loves to sleep with you. He likes to sleep under the covers, but he hasn't mastered getting himself under there. He is very loyal. I had to move and I'm not allowed to have animals. I'm praying a good family will want Thor and love him. He would do great on walks. He's not a barker. He's a good dog all the way around. I can't bear the thought of taking him to the pound and them putting him down. I'm begging for help. This is so hard. It's like having to give your child up because you have no place to keep them. He needs a haircut.

Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ • Personality: She's sociable and energetic. She adapts to new places right away and loves to reach out to new people and friends she meets. She knows how to say hello to familiar people and friends. She loves to play with other dogs and loves to play with people. She picks up on new training quickly, so we think she would make a great dog for a family with a good understanding and training knowledge of dogs. She's a bit of a sneaky prankster right now, so she can get into trouble, but she's affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. • Affinity with -Cats:She is currently living with cats in a temporary foster home. She is not aggressive with cats, but she is very interested in them, so if you have a cat that likes dogs, she would be fine. -Dogs: She is currently living with the dogs in her foster home without any issues. They play well with each other, are socialized, and warm up quickly to new dogs they meet. -Adults/Kids: She is very fond of people and loves to be petted. She warms up quickly to people she meets for the first time. • Shedding: Moderate. There is shedding in certain periods. Her fur is best brushed daily with a silicone brush. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, both familiar and new, and prefers to take fast, wide, territorial walks (rather than slow, sniffing the trails). He also loves to run in the park, but will sometimes try to run outside if there is no fence. she is fast and has a lot of energy, so she loves to run around in large parks and meet people and dogs. she also loves to go for walks in the mountains, but she has a hunting instinct and is interested in small snakes, rodents, and birds. • Housetrained: She goes potty on pee pads and highly prefers to go outside. She can chew on wood and plastic furniture and will grab small items that fall on the floor and play with them. She's very playful and will run around with you if you have a like-minded friend in the house. • Separation Anxiety: She's always been around other dogs, so we can't confirm, but we think she'll be fine on her own. • Bark or Howl: She barks briefly when she hears strangers outside. There is no howl • Carsickness: She had drooling at first, but now she rides well.

Story
❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet ChuChu👋 a friendly lovable Schnauzer girl! Chuchu’s story with the rescue team began last May when she was transferred from a high-kill shelter. She arrived with a male dog, presumably her sibling, who has since been adopted, leaving Chuchu behind. Despite this separation, Chuchu has shown resilience and a positive attitude. In July, she was sent to a foster home, where she has continued to thrive and has been learning socialization. • Personality: Easy-going, Lively, Sweet Chuchu is a loving friendly Miniature Schnauzer! This social butterfly is unafraid of meeting new people and is quick to show affection. Her comfort in cars and elevators suggests she likely had a family before ending up at the shelter, indicating she is accustomed to various environments and experiences. Chuchu already knows several commands, including sit, wait, and shake. She is also comfortable with having her teeth and ears touched, which is a testament to her foster mom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Her preference for dogs is selective depending on the size and personality. She tends to be reactive to small dogs like her. She would prefer to be the only dog in the house. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Very comfortable around new people including men / Not interested in children. • Housetrained: Completely housebroken, both outdoors and indoors • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates bathing well / Not a big fan of brushing though! • Walking Manners: She walks well on a leash! She gets excited and pulls a little bit at the beginning of a walk. However, she stops when her walker stops! She likes to sniff around. • Car Sickness: Very comfortable with car rides. • Separation Anxiety: none • Barks/Howls: Hardly… except when she sees animals on TV or when she hears a suspicious loud noise. • Appetite/Food Allergies: A little bit picky about kibbles / No food allergies • Shedding level (1~10): 2 • Likes/Dislikes: Her favorite thing is treats! She enjoys getting pets as well!

Story
Meet Venus! She is finally ready to find her forever home! Venus came to us with her brother and some house mates back at the end of July. They all had quite a few skin issues and it's taken a while to them ready to be adopted. Red and Mars found forever homes and Pluto will be with us for a while yet, but it's time for Venus to shine! She is 4 months old and is a wire haired terrier/chihuahua and ?? mix. We can see the wire haired terrier type dog and the original dog on the property was a large chihuahua, but what else is in her we do not know! All of the dogs on the property are 18-25 pounds so we think that she will grow up to be in that weight range. She is good with other dogs and with older kids. She has not been around cats, but we think that she would do well with an introduction. If you are interested in adopting Venus, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-8086 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete.
