Story
Norma Jean is a 5 year old, 13 lb Miniature Schnauzer. Though initially shy, once she comes out of her shell, she will be your best friend. Norma Jean is a total snuggle bug - she loves to snuggle in bed or on the couch with her foster parents. She is glued to their sides and lays in a dog bed near them when they're on the computer or doing other tasks. She adores other dogs but isn't playful with them. She likes to snuggle up with other dogs, and she feels most comfortable around them. Because of this reason, we are REQUIRING another dog in her forever home. Norma is also good with cats and can be found snuggling up with them, too. She is crate-trained and has done well with potty training in her foster home. She freezes on a leash, so she REQUIRES a fenced in yard so she can safely go potty. She is a wonderful little girl who loves chewing on dental treats and spending time with the people and pets she loves. A lot of noise makes her nervous, so a home with children would not be a match. Norma Jean has dry eye and is on Optimmune to lubricate her eyes. Without this medication, her eyes get a lot of build up on them and she can't see, plus it is uncomfortable. This is a life-long condition for which she will always require medication. She takes her medication like a champ, though! To adopt this precious girl, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $300, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning. You must live in Metro Atlanta to adopt her.

Story
Well, I am back for my second visit with Act2Pups and anxious to find a home that knows what forever means. Here is my prior Bio... I am one GREAT pup. I'm friendly, active, loving, and fine with other dogs. Cats could be o.k. but as far as anyone knows I haven't met one. You see I had/have a house mate but not sure if we're siblings. We were both turned in together to the county shelter one day and the people didn't give much info except they didn't want us anymore. I love romping around outside, but settle down very well inside. Do I sound like the perfect pup?....well I really am!

Story
How could anyone leave me alone for what might have been a long time in an uninhabitable apartment. I wasn't alone, but my companion couldn't be saved. Not only was I in sad shape, but I lost the only companion that I'd ever known, but I'm not asking why anymore. I was brought to the shelter in February and they did a good job helping me get healthy. Now I've been rescued. As you can see I was in deplorable shape, but a bath and a shave and I'm better now. I'll look lovely once I'm properly groomed. I've got some really great housemates, that I pal around with. I love to run so a fenced in yard is necessary and need to monitored as I can jump over 5'. I'd make a great jogging buddy. I think I could do agility with training. I love to talk....sometimes too much. I might have a few issues but I'm a really great pup that has lots and lots of love to give.

Story
Mr. Magoo is a one year old schanuzer who is a complete love bug! Age? 1 year old   Favorite activity? Magoo loves to play with his toys, but he would much rather be in your lap snuggling.     Crate Trained?  Magoo will sleep in his crate with no problem.    Potty-training- Magoo came to us still in tact but is learning to use the bathroom outside like he is suppose to.  He currently wears belly bangs and does great with them.  He's a quick learner, so we fully expect him to quickly catch on to this, too.  How does he do with kids?  He loves everybody!   How does he do with other dogs? He;s done great with the other dogs in the foster home.    How does he do with cats?  He could care less about the cats.   Is he Hypoallergenic? schnauzers usually are considered hypoallergenic.    How big will he get?  He's fuflly grown and is a chunky monkey!  He weighs around 25lbs - but could use to shed some pounds ( just don't tell him we said that"))   Training?  He's a smart boy, so he could go in any direction.    He’s looking for a home that will love his snuggles as much as he loves giving them. A home that will give him lots of exercise and let him play with all the toys!   What's included in his adoption fee?  His adoption fee is $450 and includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella, influenza, rabies, and boosters when appropriate. De-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), spayed/neutered and micro-chipped. Each of our dogs also receive flea and heartworm medication every month. We are working with our local vet to get him in to be neutered as soon as possible.    We look to place our dogs in homes where they are loved, allowed on furniture and treated like family so please do not apply if you are looking for an "outside dog" or if you have any dogs who live outside only. He’s a young guy so for the safety of all involved, we want you to consider this when applying to adopt. If you're looking for a dog who will keep you warm at night or snuggled by your side while watching TV, one who will enjoy playing in the yard, or one who’ll enjoy going and doing whatever the day finds, this may be the guy for you. Magoo’s wish list consists of an inside forever home. A home with lots of toys and pet parents who understand the time commitment that a new puppy requires. We’d like to see Magoo have a fenced in yard to be able to roam and play, but that’s not a deal breaker.    If you think you have the perfect home for Magoo and have questions, please contact us at HootiesHaven@yahoo.com We do out of state adoptions, but require you to come here and meet the pup if you are approved to adopt. Please feel free to ask for more details. We work hard to place our fosters in the very best homes. Please be aware that we have a lengthy application. Our application weeds out those who are not serious about adopting. When filling out the application, please be sure to include as much information and be as detailed as possible- your explanation could be what sets your application aside from the rest.    Please, if you are not serious about adoption, or if you are considering another dog, we respectfully ask you to please not proceed as our volunteers have other full time jobs and reading through applications and calling vet references is time consuming.   Please know, if you’re asked to come for a meet and greet, it’s just that- you are coming to meet the dog. We are the dogs advocate, so we are watching to see how the dog interacts with the family, and how the family interacts with the dog.  Our goal is to place all of our dogs in the home that’s best suited for them.    We also ask that you be mindful of the scheduled time for a meet and greet. While we understand things happen, our time is also important, as we have families and full time jobs, so please be mindful of that as well.    Link to Magoo's Adoption Application:    https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/22197/generic   Our adoption interviews are being held strictly by invitation and appointment only. We are not be open for walkins. ##1879532##
