Sweet little Miriam. She is a Schnauzer mix (not a tiny wolf we swear) who was found as a stray with an injury to her front paw. It was full of maggots. Poor angel. She's all healed up now, and ready for someone to bring her home forever. She is around 8-years-old, and 15-pounds. Miriam is super quiet and so friendly. She's great on car rides, and good with other dogs. Miriam is as easy and as loving as they get. Apply to make this gem yours today! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DBSR/Dog Her minimum adoption donation amount is $275. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm checked, and on flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. Story
🍯 Ambrosia – 5-Year-Old Miniature Schnauzer 📍 Located in Decatur, IL Applications at leiashope.org Adoption fee: $325 Meet Ambrosia, a sweet and gentle Miniature Schnauzer who is blossoming more each day. After spending her first five years in a puppy mill, she’s finally learning what it means to be loved and cared for. Ambrosia recently had a much-needed dental—most of her teeth couldn’t be saved, but now that those painful, unhealthy ones are gone, she’s feeling so much better! She’s happily eating her soft food and taking her medication like a champ. Her foster mom says Ambrosia is becoming more active inside and out. She’s found a favorite dog bed, enjoys relaxing in the dog pen for quiet time, and proudly carries around her favorite soft toy—squeaking it for attention and showing off her playful side! She’s also becoming less tense when picked up and has started rolling over for belly rubs, soaking up the love she’s missed for so long. Ambrosia requires a secure physical fenced yard and a canine companion in her adoptive home to help guide her as she continues to learn what home life means. She is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, on monthly flea and heartworm prevention, and had a full dental. Leia’s Hope is a volunteer-run rescue—please allow **7–10 business days** for application processing. Meet and greets are by approved application only, held at the dog’s location, and all family members (including dogs) must attend. We do not transport or allow our dogs to fly cargo.
