Cisco is a handsome blue merle Schnauzer mix who is about 3 years old. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who wants to be part of your everyday life, Cisco may be the perfect match.
Cisco is a sweet, intelligent, affectionate dog who forms deep bonds with his people. He loves being involved in whatever you're doing, whether that's going for a walk, playing in the yard, learning new tricks, or simply relaxing together at home. He's currently working on catching treats in the air (and getting better every day!) and is starting to figure out the game of fetch.
Cisco is an active, playful dog who would thrive with an adopter who enjoys spending time outdoors and can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and a consistent routine. A securely fenced yard is a must so he has a safe place to run and burn off energy. He would also likely enjoy having another energetic dog to play with.
Cisco is happiest when someone is home much of the day. He would do well with someone who works from home, is retired, or has a plan to provide companionship during the day. He becomes very attached to his people and can become anxious when left alone for long periods.
Like many young, energetic dogs, Cisco is still learning. He can be excited on walks and may bark at some people, dogs, or motorcycles he encounters. He also pulls on the leash and can be nervous in new situations. With patience, positive reinforcement, and continued training, he has continued to make progress in foster care.
Cisco is looking for an adopter who understands that great dogs aren't always perfect—they're willing to learn alongside you. Someone who enjoys training, providing structure, and helping a dog build confidence will be rewarded with an incredibly loyal companion.
Because Cisco can be vocal when left alone, he is looking for a single-family home rather than an apartment, condo, or other shared-wall living situation.
Cisco is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and recently had a dental cleaning with no extractions.
