Story

A relative adopted Baby Girl as a puppy in 2012, and she has been my foster dog since January 2024 when her mom had to move into nursing care. She is still very lively for her age and loves to wrestle and play with her people. Her favorite thing to do though is to snuggle up on you and go to sleep. I am treating her for a few medical issues. The most serious one is a heart murmur. I am happy to share her medical history and what vets have told me so far. For now, her quality of life is great. She sometimes struggles to get traction on wood floors but she seems to be getting stronger. She loves to run around outside and on the carpet. She gets along fine with our dog but has had some reactivity with bigger dogs, so we would have to do a meet and greet if you have another dog already.

Buddy is sweet and adorable and looking for a special forever home! Buddy came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray and not reclaimed. He is a very affectionate boy who loves people and going on walks. His ideal home would be quiet with someone home most of the time, and experienced schnauzer lover, and if there is another dog, one that is friendly and submissive. He does great with female dogs and submissive males. He does not do well being handled by a groomer or vet, so we would not consider him to be a candidate to be a lap dog. But if you're looking for an affectionate companion, Buddy is available! He is being fostered in the Chicago area. He is about 5 years old, neutered, just had a dental, up to date on shots, micro-chipped, heart-worm and fecal tested negative. He weighs about 12 lbs. Sarge's owner went to jail and so Sarge did too at Animal Control. We then bailed him out. He is 15 years old, totally blind and one of his eye's is painful, so it was removed. He recently got all his rotten teeth extracted and he was neutered. Please help him! Tucker came to us with a punctured eye from an open intake shelter and had to have it removed. He is fully recovered and in a foster home. Tucker can be cranky at times and he is very, very old so our rescue will keep him comfortable for however long he needs. Please HELP him! Rotten teeth, bad eyes, super old: just what our rescue loves! Gracie just had a dental and had 32 teeth removed. Her bloodwork and exam showed she is healthy. Thanks to his amazing foster, he has come out of his shell and learned to love again! He loves people and being held. He does not love stairs! They are still very scary for him.
