Story
Hi! My name is Bennie, and I’m a mini schnauzer-chihuahua mix. My sister, Shelby, and I were the last two pups in our litter, and for a while, it seemed like no one wanted us. Our mom was found running down a country road until a kind lady picked her up and knocked on doors until she found our home. Our human mom felt overwhelmed and was relieved to let this kind lady take us in. We were so grateful! She promised to take care of our mom and gave us a chance at a better life. At first, we were sad, but as soon as we saw our foster home, our spirits lifted. We knew things were looking up when we learned Critter Cavalry would care for us and help us find loving forever homes.   I’m the mischievous one—the clown of the bunch. I’ve made it my mission to make you smile, even when I’m being a little naughty (don’t worry, it’s not too often). With me around, laughter is guaranteed! I love to play and can be a bit vocal when I want your attention, but I also adore snuggling and can be incredibly sweet. I think I’m a wonderful little guy, and I’ll do my best to make sure you agree.   My sister Shelby is the love bug. She’d much rather be snuggling with you than playing with me! We do play together, but when she gets tired, she’s quick to find someone to cuddle. We don’t have to be adopted together, but if you’re looking for the perfect yin and yang, the two of us are just what you need.   To learn more about Bennie and/or Shelby as well as the adoption process please email Vivienne at vivienneajames@gamil.com or text 615-943-7311.  The pups are currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.  It will be a few weeks before their vetting is completed.    July 28, 2026, 8:23 pm

Story
Meet Milo Too 🐾Milo Too is a 6-year-old, 20-pound Schnauzer/Shih Tzu mix who is adjusting to life in foster care after a major life change. .Milo has a moderate energy level and enjoys exploring a fenced yard and playing with squeaky toys. He is house-trained and does well in an exercise pen when unsupervised, as he is not a fan of crates.Milo lived with a retired couple and had limited exposure to children. He currently lives with small dogs but prefers human attention and may do best as an only dog. He also has a typical Schnauzer prey drive, so a cat-free home is recommended.Milo can be reactive to new people and activity, often barking at delivery people and becoming anxious on walks. He will need a patient adopter committed to helping him build confidence and improve leash manners through training.Ideal home: A quiet, suburban or rural home with a fenced yard and a calm, consistent routine.Milo is a sensitive, loyal companion who needs time, patience, and love to shine truly. 💛If you are interested in finding out more about Milo Too, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser:https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/DogMilo Too is being fostered in Central MassThe adoption fee is $500Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!.Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram!Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Grady! Adoption Fee: $499 Includes transport Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Grady is a handsome 7-month-old Schnauzer mix with the cutest scruffy face, soulful eyes, and a heart of gold! Born in December, 2025, this sweet boy weighs 35 pounds and is the perfect medium-sized companion. Grady has everything you could ask for in a young dog. He's house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, making the transition into his forever home a breeze. He's also incredibly smart and eager to please, so training comes naturally to him. In fact, his foster says he's one of the easiest dogs they've ever had! The only thing to know is that Grady is a sensitive soul—if you tell him no, he looks absolutely heartbroken! Grady is wonderful with cats and dogs of all sizes. He's a submissive boy, so pushy or dominant dogs can make him a little nervous. He would thrive in a home with another friendly, playful dog who will help build his confidence and be his best buddy. When meeting new people, Grady can be a little shy at first and may bark or hide behind his trusted person. Give him just a little time, though, and hell quickly decide you're his new best friend! Once he knows you, he's incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle. His favorite place to sleep is snuggled up in bed with his person, but he's also perfectly happy sleeping quietly in his crate. We're helping another rescue find the perfect forever home for Grady, and we know his family is out there. If you're looking for a gentle, loving, playful companion who is already well on his way to being the perfect family dog, Grady is waiting to meet you. Story
Meet Ziggy! Adoption Fee: $499 includes transport Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 For far too long, sweet Ziggy lived a life where she was simply overlooked. This beautiful 8-year-old Schnauzer spent years being neglected by her owners. She wasn't taken to the veterinarian, wasn't included in family activities, and rarely received the love and attention every dog deserves. Thankfully, a compassionate neighbor saw how special Ziggy was. For over a year, she loved her, cared for her, and repeatedly asked if she could give Ziggy the life she deserved. When her owners finally agreed, Ziggy was immediately taken to the veterinarian, showered with care, and brought to Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue to begin her new chapter. Now all Ziggy needs is a forever family. Ziggy is a wonderful little companion who loves people and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and respectful children. At 8 years old, she's left the puppy chaos behind. She isn't interested in roughhousing or having large, energetic dogs bouncing in her face. Instead, she'd love a peaceful home where she can relax, enjoy leisurely walks, soak up affection, and finally know what it's like to be someone's cherished best friend. She's healthy, happy, and has so much love left to give. After spending so many years waiting for someone to truly choose her, we think it's finally Ziggy's turn to be spoiled. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily spend her days by your side, please send in an adoption application. Ziggy has waited long enough for the loving home she's always deserved.
