Meet Marvel! A spirited eight-year-old Miniature Schnauzer currently in Woodstock Valley, CT, whose essence is a gentle blend of devotion and playful charm wrapped in a handsome silver gray coat. This small 22-pound gentleman carries himself with quiet dignity, yet he lights up the moment a game of tug of war or fetch begins. His signature goose-like bark may surprise you at first, but behind that amusing sound is a tender-hearted boy who truly loves other dogs and is always hoping someone will join his game! Marvel is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. He follows a grain-free diet to help prevent ear infections and enjoys weekly grooming to keep his distinguished Schnauzer look neat and mat-free. While he has not attended formal training classes, he already knows sit, come, stay, and wait, and he is eager to continue learning through positive reinforcement and gentle guidance. This sweet boy thrives on companionship. He enjoys daily walks and playtime, although he can get overheated easily, so cooler strolls and relaxed adventures suit him well. Marvel can feel anxious when left alone for long periods and may react to unexpected visitors, wildlife, or excited barking. With a patient, nurturing pet parent who is home most of the time, he blossoms into a loyal, affectionate constant companion who simply wants to be near his person. Marvel is friendly with other dogs and compatible with cats. He has not been around young children, so a calm, attentive environment would help him feel secure. Most of all, he needs a new loving home filled with consistency, play, and reassurance. While Marvel is being placed separately, he would truly love to be adopted with his deeply bonded companion, Harley, so they can continue their beautiful friendship side by side.
