Meet Pepper, a 2 year old, 44lb handsome Schnauzer Terrier mix who is looking for a new home after being surrendered by an older couple who loved him, but found his energy level was simply too much for their lifestyle. He’s a friendly, well-socialized dog who does great with other dogs, kids, and even cats. As a puppy, he received professional training, including a two-week board-and-train, and it shows—he’s crate trained, knows his basic commands, and enjoys having structure. If you’re someone who loves being outdoors, he’ll be thrilled to join you. He loves walks, and he’s a confident hiking partner, including doing well off leash on trails (with appropriate supervision and safe areas). He’d thrive with an adopter who wants a smart, active companion and can provide regular exercise and enrichment. Best fit: an active home ready for a fun, trained, affectionate companion—someone who will enjoy giving him the activity and attention he loves.
