Story
Current Location: Hanover, PA Meet Darcy Darcy is a one year old, 20 lb scruffy Schnauzer mix with a perfectly balanced personality, a heart full of affection, and a very strong opinion about laps. Specifically that she should be on one as often as possible. She is friendly, playful, cuddly, and genuinely delightful to be around. She enjoys walks, loves a good play session, and appreciates a little daily stimulation to keep that clever mind of hers happy. But when the activity winds down, Darcy settles beautifully and transforms into the ultimate snuggle companion. She has truly mastered both ends of the spectrum and moves between them with the ease of a dog who is simply comfortable in her own skin. Darcy is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She is good with other dogs and warm with new people. She is treat and praise motivated and already knows sit and no, which tells you she is paying attention and genuinely wants to get things right. At 20 lb of scruffily adorable perfection, Darcy is the kind of dog who fits into just about any home and any lifestyle. Apartment or house, quiet household or lively one, she is adaptable and easygoing in all the right ways. The one thing Darcy absolutely requires is a lap. It does not need to be fancy. It just needs to be available. If you have one to offer, Darcy will take very good care of it.

Current Location: Severn, MD Ultimate Snuggle Expert Clubs is the snuggler of the group. If there is a lap available, he would like to claim it. He especially loves being held and will relax right into you. His shiny, beautiful coat makes him even more irresistible. He has the kind of soft fur that invites constant petting. Clubs enjoys playtime just as much as cuddle time. He loves squeaky toys, chew toys, and tumbling around with his siblings. His tail wag might win awards. He is expected to be medium sized when grown and will thrive in a home that appreciates both play and closeness.

Story
Current Location: Severn, MD Short Legs, Big Heart Spades may have the shortest legs in the litter, but he makes up for it with the biggest personality. His little legs hustle as fast as they can when it is time to play or when he sees you coming. He loves to be held and will happily melt into your arms. Ear scratches are his favorite thing in the world. The moment you start rubbing them, he leans in like he has been waiting all day. Spades loves squeaky toys, chew toys, and full speed wrestling matches with his siblings. His tail never stops wagging. He does have a small hernia that will be repaired when he is neutered, and it does not slow him down one bit. Spades is expected to be medium sized when full grown and will make a devoted, affectionate companion.

Story
Hi everyone, my name is Agatha! I am a 7 year old, 18 pound Schnauzer. I was recently surrendered by a commercial breeder where I was bred my entire life so they could make money off the sale of my puppies. I am now learning about the good life - what it means to be a loved pet in a home, and that people can be caring! I am a little timid when meeting new people but I warm up after getting some nice chin scritches, soft pets on my back, and the opportunity to skidaddle away and come back to you when I am feeling brave again. I get along great with other dogs but I'd prefer to be your one and only. I refuse to let my foster brother get any attention without trying to push my way in for attention too. I would love to be the center of your world and have you all to myself!  I have been doing great at going potty outside but some accidents are to be expected until I learn the routine in my new home. I am a very good eater and love getting treats after going potty. I am crate trained and do really well eating and sleeping in there at night as well as when my foster pawrents are at work. When you come home, I will literally jump for joy when I see you! I have also recently started experiencing the "zoomies" and running carefree and happily in the yard! A fence is not a necessity for me because something else that I've learned to love is going on walks! I am still trying to get the hang of walking on a leash and that other people and dogs out for walks are not scary but just so long as you are with me and remind me that I am safe, I will be ok!  After a nice walk, I love nothing more than hanging out near you as I chomp on chew toys and play with stuffies. I can also help you with your housekeeping, if you leave any laundry on the ground I will be sure to bring it into my doggie bed until you are ready to put it in the laundry basket.  I would love to spend time curled up next to you on the couch or I am also happy to snooze in my doggie bed so long as it is near you! On the day of Agatha's rescue, a heart murmur was detected. At a recheck a month and a half later it showed signs of improvement. On the day of her spay surgery, 3 months after rescue, her murmur was faint. It appears her murmur is not a structural issue and was probably caused by the extreme stress and anxiety of her previous living conditions. However, this is something that will need to be communicated to your vet, we will provide medical paperwork with all the necessary information.  Agatha's Schnauzer coat requires regular grooming. She is spayed, microchipped, had a dental cleaning, and is up to date on her vaccines. Agatha is currently being fostered in Bethlehem and potential adopters may need to travel for a meet and greet. ** FOSTER UPDATE ** Check out this wonderful update from Moocha and Snow’s foster family: “Moocha and Snow have settled into family life and their personalities are shining through. They both love their walks and are very intelligent and inquisitive. They even enjoy their baths and Moocha especially likes the hair dryer. She is our little protector, barking once if she thinks there is an intruder. She loves to play with her toys and throws them around herself. She likes to walk off when her brother is sleeping and explore the house. She loves belly rubs. Snow is a total love bug. He likes to sit on or across your lap. He follows you around without getting in the way. He likes to see what you are doing. They both love to sleep on the couch and at night sleep in our bed. They are the sweetest dogs and everyone loves them who meets them. The cutest thing is they do things sometimes in unison, like jumping on the bed or following a scent trail. They really love people. We left them for 7 hours one day and they were totally fine.” ✨Meet Snow and Moocha!✨ Snow and Moocha came to us after being surrendered by their previous family due to no longer being able to care for them. Snow and Moocha are 4-year old Schnauzer/mini poodle mixed breeds who are a bonded pair! They are sweet dogs who just want a forever family to spend their days with! Snow and Moocha are young dogs that will require a family up to the task of providing them the ample physical and mental exercise and training that all dogs require.
