Story
I bought Candy in 2016 when she was 6-8 weeks old. According to the breeder, she was born on 11/30/2016. We have been together since then and it's been over 9 years. Mini Schnauzers can be high maintenance (teeth, haircuts, nails, ears). She is still very active with no health issues as far as I can tell. She is very alarmed and protective. She will bark whenever she senses someone at the doors or a stranger in the house. She is very sweet and loyal. She is not super needy or clingy but likes to be around you. I hope the new owner has the time and financial resources (since she is getting old) to take care of her. She warms up to people very slowly. Therefore, I hope the new owner is willing to work with us to slowly get to know her. We can arrange public visits, home visits, and perhaps dog sits before the actual adoption. I want her to feel safe and welcomed in the new home. This is a very hard decision and I hope I can find her a responsible and caring home.

Story
Sitter needed: 04/02/26 - 04/06/26 Estella is a soulful, sensitive girl who bonds deeply with her person. She has settled beautifully into a home environment and thrives with predictability, gentle handling, and a calm pace of life. She loves leisurely walks, long naps, and showing off her tricks for treats (those puppy eyes are hard to resist!). She adores squeaky toys and is very gentle when she plays. She’s more “walk and nap” than high-energy. Estella would do best in an adult-only home with a calm, low-traffic environment. She needs a family who understands dog body language and respects her boundaries. She communicates clearly when she’s uncomfortable, so she’ll do best with someone who listens and responds with patience. Estella will flourish with someone patient, attuned, and ready to offer a peaceful home!

Story
Sweet Sosa is blind but can see some shadows and light but it doesn't stop him from participating in life. Sosa has some hearing loss but he can hear and follow his foster when she calls his name, claps her hands or whistles. He's learned his indoor and outdoor boundaries really well. Each change of living situation will require a short relearning period.Sosa likes to play with and follow the resident dog who's about the same size and a little younger. Sosa loves squeaky toys and balls, and a roll in the grass, cuddles, belly rubs and walks well on a leash in his neighborhood. After some training, Sosa has mastered in using doggie door after learning indoor and outdoor living space well, and more impressively, he'll even pick up a toy from living room, walk through doggie door and drop the toy in the backyard all by himself. When foster is cooking, Sosa likes to quietly lie down in the kitchen floor, hoping for taste. After a full day, Sosa sleeps soundly through-out the night.Sosa's health needs have been caught up while in foster care. He's even had a dental. An allergy shot helps him stay comfortable during seasonal changes. It's onward to the best of the rest of his life to a safe, loving home.Apply on his link to start a conversation with his foster mom. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 35 Age: 10yrs 7mths 1wks

Story
Winston is a sweet, scruffy little 2 legged dog who is about 1 year old. I’ve only had him for a few months, so I’m unsure of his history before that, but he has been a loving companion during his time with me. He is shy at first, but once he’s comfortable he shows his fun, energetic personality. Winston has three legs, but it absolutely doesn’t slow him down — he runs, plays, and explores just like any other dog. Winston has met a few other dogs and has done well with them. He has also met a few cats and does fine (though they don’t always appreciate him trying to play!). However, he can be leash reactive and may bark at other dogs (sometimes people) on walks, if too close. slow introductions and continued training will be helpful. Off leash he seems to be completely fine though. Because he is small, he is still very manageable on leash. He is kennel trained and about 80–90% potty trained.
