Story
Meet Shadow Jayden, a 5-year-old, 13-pound Schnauzer mix with a complex heart and a story that’s still unfolding. Shadow came to us from another shelter and has been struggling to feel safe and settled in the kennel environment. Shadow is a highly fearful and reactive dog who finds new people and situations overwhelming. He is especially reactive around barriers. Because of this, Shadow will need a very experienced, patient, and dog-savvy adopter or rescue partner who understands how to work with fear-based behaviors. While he’s doing okay with his potty training, he’ll need continued consistency and a calm, structured environment to thrive. Leash training has been challenging due to his reactivity, and he will need slow, positive reinforcement to help him feel more secure. Shadow Jayden isn’t ready for the average home—but with the right person who’s willing to give him time, space, and understanding, we believe there’s potential for him to begin healing. He needs someone who sees beyond his fear and is committed to helping him feel safe in a world that’s been very scary so far. Adoption fee is: $250 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Meet Lieutenant Chestnut! 🤎🐾 This 4-year-old, 13.12-pound mini Schnauzer is as charming as his name—sweet, silly, and full of personality. Lieutenant Chestnut has the perfect balance of playful energy and cuddle-ready calm. Whether he’s trotting around with his goofy little strut or curling up beside you for snuggle time, he’s always ready to bring joy into the room. He’s currently heartworm positive, but don’t let that scare you—he’s already received his ProHeart-12 injection and is well underway with treatment. He’ll just need a recheck in nine months to make sure he’s on the path to a full recovery. With a little patience and continued care, this brave little guy is expected to bounce right back. Lieutenant Chestnut is looking for a loving family who appreciates both his playful spirit and his soft, snuggly side. If you’re ready to welcome a silly sweetheart with a huge heart, he’s more than ready to salute his new forever home. 💛🐶 Adoption fee is: $400.00 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Story
Foster was left for euthanasia if a rescue couldn't take, with his bed and a small baggy of food. Simply not wanted back. FTMP took over his care and vetting and he had a much-needed spa day! Little Foster has really blossomed in his time in foster and with the house pack. He is an adorably funny, sweet little guy! Foster loves playing catch me if you can with a toy along with his new bestest buddy, Paddy Pantz. He even loves to pester one of the house kitty's who seems to love him! Foster is looking for his REAL loving forever home that can focus on him and understandably love this little guy! He would be happy as the only paws in your life, or best with a balanced buddy close to his size. A loving home that can give him the attention this loveable little guy enjoys and gives back.
