Meet Shadow Jayden, a 5-year-old, 13-pound Schnauzer mix with a complex heart and a story that’s still unfolding. Shadow came to us from another shelter and has been struggling to feel safe and settled in the kennel environment. Shadow is a highly fearful and reactive dog who finds new people and situations overwhelming. He is especially reactive around barriers. Because of this, Shadow will need a very experienced, patient, and dog-savvy adopter or rescue partner who understands how to work with fear-based behaviors. While he’s doing okay with his potty training, he’ll need continued consistency and a calm, structured environment to thrive. Leash training has been challenging due to his reactivity, and he will need slow, positive reinforcement to help him feel more secure. Shadow Jayden isn’t ready for the average home—but with the right person who’s willing to give him time, space, and understanding, we believe there’s potential for him to begin healing. He needs someone who sees beyond his fear and is committed to helping him feel safe in a world that’s been very scary so far. Adoption fee is: $175 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. She loves attention and enjoys being petted. She had to have surgery to remove bladder stones but she is better and ready to go. The first 5 years of Millie’s life were with a woman who had 22 crated dogs used for breeding! When she was taken from that deplorable situation, she was taken in by a foster mother who took excellent care of her, getting her to a vet & having her vaccinated & caring for any other health issues. Unfortunately, the foster mother couldn’t keep her because she already had two large dogs. My husband & I took her in & have had her for 7 years. NOW, we are seniors & both having health issues that are making it difficult to give her the care she needs. She is a good girl & very sweet & smart.
