Story
Bruce is a gentle, affectionate pup with a heart full of love. After a rough start to life, he’s blossomed in foster care and is ready for a forever home. He’s crate-trained, potty-trained, and loves to grab a toy and entertain himself. His favorite things? Belly rubs, cuddles, and just being near his people. Bruce is gradually going blind, so he’ll need a few simple accommodations, but it doesn’t stop him from living a joyful, full life. He gets along well with dogs and cats but does best with calm companions. He’ll need a little time to adjust, but once he settles in, he’s an absolute joy. Looking for a loyal, loving companion? Bruce just might be your perfect match. Bruce is a Male Miniature Schnauzer/Maltese Mix that we estimate to be born around 3/10/2016 and weighs 19 lbs.

Story
Pepper is a 4 month old, Miniature Schnauzer puppy. True to her name, this feisty pup is full of playful energy and personality. She’s a cuddle bug at heart and loves to wind down with snuggles after a day of fun. Pepper is still a puppy, so we’re working on potty training, but she’s doing great with pee pads and not having accidents in her crate. She can be shy around new people, but with time and patience, she warms up and makes friends. She’s in her teething stage—so toys are a must! While she’s respectful of shoes and personal items, socks might mysteriously disappear. Pepper gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would make a fantastic companion for both humans and furry friends alike. If you’re looking for a pup with spunk and sweetness, Pepper’s your girl! To adopt Pepper, please apply at www.htxdogrescue.org.

Story
Hi! My name is Calhoun, or "Cal" to my friends, which includes just about everyone. I'm a gentle soul with a shy streak. I take a little time to warm up but once I trust you, I'll soak up all the love and affection you've got to give. I'm crate-trained, well-behaved, and happiest lounging beside my person on the patio, soaking up the sun. If you're patient and kind, I'll be your low-key companion for life!

Story
Rosco is a sweet boy, just over a year old, he turned one April 4th this year. He’s a well behaved dog that enjoys cuddles and belly rubs. He loves going on walks and playing fetch. We’ve been taking care of him and his 4 siblings since he was born and so because we cannot have so many dogs when we move into our new home we are looking to give him a home where he will receive a lot of love and attention. Rosco is a very smart dog, he can sometimes be cautious and nervous about new things but he always comes around.

Story
Pierce is a good looking boy straight from the streets of Houston. He is a wonderful, funny boy when he trusts you but trust is not something that comes easy for him. He has obviously been let down by humans his entire life. He is currently living with our trainer, who is helping him understand that humans can be good and trusted. Pierce is just about 2 years old, 60 pounds and maybe a schnauzer/husky mix. He needs an experienced handler who can continue to help him build h is confidence and trust in humans. Pierce is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Pierce is currently heartworm positive but we will continue to cover treating him through the slow kill method. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this handsome guy, just fill out the appropriate application found at scoutshonor.org.     Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs November 5, 2024, 1:18 am
