Story
Hi, I’m Howie, a friendly, active 2 y/o schnauzer mix. The foster lady thinks I’m a schnoodle ( schnauzer/poodle mix), a fancy designer dog. No one knows for sure though since I haven’t had one of those fancy DNA tests done and we have no idea who my parents are. You see, I was an orphan as I was taken to the Laredo shelter and transported all the way to San Antonio. I guess the foster peeps could see that I am big city material! I am small ( 16 pounds give or take) and don’t shed. I love to ride in the car and hike with my peeps. I am very smart and eager to please. I get along well with both large and small dogs and love everyone! I am pretty good on a leash but am still learning manners. I am kennel and doggy door trained and listen well to my foster parents. I am currently wearing belly bands inside as I am still learning not to mark in the house. I just lost the family jewels today ( the old snip snip :) so foster mom is expecting the marking to subside. If not, I tolerate the bands and the nice furniture remains clean. You see, I am a perfect gentleman. I prefer being indoors but also like playing in the back yard with my crew. I really just want to be where the action is. I will make a great apartment or house dog. I would do best with a family or active person who likes to go for walks or spend time playing with me as I still have some puppy energy. So, if you are looking for a handsome hunk, I’m your guy. I’ve been looking for my furever family and I will reward the lucky peeps with lots of kisses and hugs! Local adoption fee is $400 in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $750 ( includes transport to your area) "Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that dog, the world will change." ~ Karen Davison

Story
Bailey is a 4 yr old 14# purebred Schnauzer. She has a beautiful soft grey coat and the most expressive sweet face. Bailey was brought to our vet late on Friday for euthanasia without reason. Our vet refused as she was a healthy dog and deferred to rescue. Thank Goodness! Bailey is doing well with the 2 rescues she currently shares a space with. She uses the dog door. She likes it best when I arrive so she can get pets and of course breakfast or lunch. Her adoption fee is $350. Please fill out an application if you think she will be a great fit for you!

Story
Welcome Ruby to CCPAL foster program. Ruby is a 4-year old Schnauzer/Yorkie dog. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the streets of Texas roaming with another dog. She wasn’t thin or stressed so she may have been found right after she was dumped by the original owners. Ruby is potty trained, good with other dogs and friendly to people, even strangers. She has a longer coat and is not a big shedder. She would look more like a Schnauzer with the Schnauzer cut. She is loving, smart, cuddly and ready for her new forever home. She is getting her vaccinations topped up and will be spayed before adoption. She is good in a car and decent on a leash. She would be fine in a home with a smaller condo sized yard. She would only need a moderately active person. A walk would be enough exercise. She is relaxed, calm and beautiful. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Meet Dolly! Dolly was rescued by a kindhearted woman who had the very best intentions. She hoped this sweet, energetic puppy would become a playful companion for her two older Chihuahuas and bring a little excitement into their lives. Unfortunately, the older girls were set in their ways and had no interest in keeping up with a busy puppy. Worried that Dolly might accidentally get hurt, her new mom made the difficult decision to find her a more suitable home. Having previously adopted one of her Chihuahuas from Mini Wonders Adoptions, she knew she could trust us to find Dolly the loving family she deserves. At approximately 13 weeks old, Dolly is a bright, affectionate little girl who loves dogs, cats, and people! She is still learning to potty outside but uses her puppy pads like a champ. Dolly is smart as a whip and eager to learn—she just needs a patient family willing to guide her as she grows. If you are ready to welcome a playful, loving puppy into your family, Dolly may be the perfect match for you!
