Story
Hello, my name is Zucchini! I am a shy, male, 15 pound, 4 year old schnauzer mix and just like in your vegetable garden, I could use a little TLC! I am looking for a quiet home that can watch me grow into a happy, healthy dog. I currently am a little underweight and should weigh closer to 17-20 pounds. I wouldn't hurt a fly, but I definitely need time to warm up to you. I do like belly rubs, and getting scratches! I probably wouldn't mind another confident dog, or an independent cat that would leave me be. My ideal home would be a quiet place with someone patient who doesn't have kids, because, I know could grow into that perfect dog you've been waiting for! Could you be the one for me? ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.

Story
Kamori was rescued off an abandoned property where 30 dogs were living. They were all fighting to survive and wouldn't have made it through the freeze. We are so grateful we were able to find a foster to save their lives. Kamori is a super sweet and spunky pup who loves everyone she meets. She would live another doggy companion to spend her days with.  ##1995838##

Story
30 dogs were living on an abandoned property. Several rescues came together to help get them all to safety.  Figaro has done amazingly in his foster home. He is crate trained, rides well in the car and gets along with everyone he comes across. This includes children, cats and dogs of all sizes. Figaro loves to play with other dogs, run around outside and then snuggle for some down time. He is 8 months old and his adoption fee is $350 ##1995832##

Story
Kelsey was one of 30 dogs who came from an abandoned property. Her siblings were slowly being killed off by coyotes. We were able to help with 6 of the dogs and seceral other rescues helped save the rest. Kelsey is a very sweet girl who has just the right balance of playful and cuddly. She would be a wonderful addition to just about any family. Kelsey loves playing with other dogs so she would love to find a family that has a playful pup for her to romp around with. She is 8 months old and her adoption fee is $350. ##1995837##
