Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Angus! This 8-year-old, 11 lb. pup is full of personality and loves the company of other dogs, making him a wonderful fit for a home with canine companions. He would do best in an adult-only household and requires a fenced-in yard where he can safely enjoy his independence and spunky spirit. Angus is not a fan of cats, so he’s looking for a feline-free home. Angus has vestibular disease of unknown origin. Thankfully, his condition is currently stable and has not progressed, though the cause remains uncertain. Angus currently weighs about 11lbs., is approximately 8 years old (est. birth date 02/14/2017), and his adoption fee is $85. Angus has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Angus, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. Meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Meet Teddy! This adorable, full-of-life pup is ready to steal your heart. Teddy is a sweet, Iwiggly boy whose tail never stops wagging and who truly enjoys being part of your daily routine. He’s happiest when he’s with his people and loves being right by your side. Teddy is fully potty trained, crate trained, and has a great recall to his name. On walks, he’s a dream—perfect on a leash and eager to explore all the wonderful smells along the way. He takes care of his potty breaks outside, and he already knows SIT and is working on DOWN with gentle encouragement. He even hops into an SUV trunk with confidence, making him an excellent companion for car rides. Bath time and grooming? No problem—he’s patient and calm, giving the sweetest “Are we done yet?” look with his golden-brown eyes. Around other dogs, Teddy has shown an even temperament. He plays nicely with many dogs and does best with slow, supervised introductions—some dogs he clicks with right away, while others he may need time to warm up to. He hasn’t joined a full playgroup yet, but we’re learning more about him every day and will continue to update as we get to know him better. Teddy does exhibit resource guarding and can be protective of sofas, beds, and sometimes people when he’s on furniture or on the floor near high-value spaces. He’ll need an adopter who understands resource guarding, is committed to setting clear boundaries (such as no furniture access), and can continue working with him through positive structure and consistency. A fenced yard is required. A home with no small children is also required. This charming, devoted boy is ready to bring joy, adventure, and so much love into his forever home. Teddy currently weighs about 16lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 05/27/2023), and his adoption fee is $510. Teddy has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Teddy, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
