Story
🐾. Meet August, a 2-yr-old, 8.5lb, tiny, sweet boy with a gentle heart who is looking for a calm, experienced home. He has been through a very difficult past and will need a patient, understanding adopter who can help him continue building confidence at his own pace. He is leash- and crate-trained and is very good about letting you know when he needs to go outside or when it’s mealtime. He’s still working on full house-training but is making steady progress with pee pads, diapers and structure. Once he feels safe, August is affectionate, playful, and loves being close to his person. Because of his background, a home without small children is best. He does well with other dogs and cats, but will also do well alone. Also, he can be an escape artist, so a secure yard or leash use outdoors is very important. August will thrive with someone experienced, patient, and committed to positive reinforcement. In the right home, he will be a deeply loyal and loving companion. 🐾

Louie is a 5-year-old neutered Yorkie mix who is ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch and a family to call his own. This calm little gentleman enjoys the simple things—quiet companionship, gentle attention, and being near his people. Louie would do best in a home with older, mature kids who understand his easygoing nature. He has never lived with other animals before, so we’re unsure how he would feel about sharing his space, but with the right introduction he may adjust. If you’re looking for a sweet, laid-back companion, Louie may be the perfect match for you. 🐾
