🐾. Meet August, a 2-yr-old, 8.5lb, tiny, sweet boy with a gentle heart who is looking for a calm, experienced home. He has been through a very difficult past and will need a patient, understanding adopter who can help him continue building confidence at his own pace. He is leash- and crate-trained and is very good about letting you know when he needs to go outside or when it’s mealtime. He’s still working on full house-training but is making steady progress with pee pads, diapers and structure. Once he feels safe, August is affectionate, playful, and loves being close to his person. Because of his background, a home without small children is best. He does well with other dogs and cats, but will also do well alone. Also, he can be an escape artist, so a secure yard or leash use outdoors is very important. August will thrive with someone experienced, patient, and committed to positive reinforcement. In the right home, he will be a deeply loyal and loving companion. 🐾

Buster just turned 4 years old and is a 'MORKIE' - Maltese and Yorkshire Terrie 6.4 lbs with a healthy goal weight of 7 lbs - he has curly white and tan fur. Due to breed - he will require extensive grooming! Regular trips to the Salon Buster is fostered with cats, small dogs and big dogs. He loves attention and sitting on his foster mom's lap. He is talkative - yippie and barky, always got something to say. Buster is playful and passive with other dogs, enjoys having playdates and being part of the party. This breed has a Life Expectancy is 10-15 years. We are seeking a committed family for this little dude. Buster came to rescue with two dog siblings after his elderly owners could not afford to care for them and taken to a small shelter. The Animal Control Officer contacted CCR and requested help - the dogs were neglected, dirty and not housetrained. They were clearly loved but owners started to struggle to care for themselves and the pets. Buster is now up to date on vaccines, dewormed for gut health, microchipped and neutered. He tested negative for heartworms and is on prevention. He has a birthday of 02/05/2022 and was purchased from a pet store. *Rescue does not complete DNA testing. Breed is based on documentation provided from the original purchase from a pet store - pet stores source from puppy mills and are not typically ethical, breed is not always accurate. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners.
