Meet Beautiful Iris! 🌸
This adorable 4.5-month-old female Morkie weighs just 4.5 pounds and is as sweet as they come. When she first arrived in rescue, Iris was a shy little pup—but in just two weeks, she has blossomed into a loving, joyful companion.
Iris has been fully vetted and is healthy overall, with the exception of a moderate overbite. Her vet recommends monitoring it as she grows, but for now, she’s thriving and having no trouble eating or playing.
She’s enjoying her Fromm Puppy kibble, loves her chew bones (especially while teething!), and has quickly settled into her foster home. Iris adores playing with her foster sister, has discovered the joy of toys, and happily greets anyone who visits—her personality is truly shining.
She’s doing great with her puppy pen and crate, sleeping soundly through the night. Potty training is underway, and she’s loving all the exciting smells and adventures that come with time outside. She’s also starting to get comfortable with a harness and leash, practicing with short indoor walks.
Iris is catching up on her puppy vaccinations and will soon be ready to explore the world more fully. She’ll need regular grooming, and once she’s up to date on vaccines, she’s looking forward to her first official spa day at the groomer.
Iris is ready to find her forever home and would thrive in a family with children or another young, playful dog to keep her company and share in her fun-loving spirit.

Leia’s Hope is a volunteer-run, foster-based rescue. All of our dogs live in foster homes. Applications typically take 7-10 business days to process, meet and greets are scheduled only after an application is approved. We do not transport dogs; adopters must travel to the dogs location in Troy, MO for meet and greets and adoption.
Iris is a 15 year commitment, and her adopter must be prepared to love and support her for her lifetime.
