If you have other dogs, you're in luck—these girls are incredibly social and get along beautifully with other furry friends. Why You’ll Fall in Love: World-Class Cuddlers: Their absolute favorite activity is curling up right next to their foster mom for a good, long snuggle session. They are professional lap warmers! A+ House Manners: No messy business here. These ladies have excellent house manners and are incredibly polite roommates. If your couch has room for two tiny, cuddle-loving shadows, this dynamic duo is waiting for you! Ready to double your love? Ask about adopting Tara and Zara together today! Tara (black/silver) is a Yorkie/Maltese (Morkie) mix who was was born approximately 6-1-22 and weighs 9.1 lbs. Zara (blonde) is a Yorkie/Maltese (Morkie) who was born approximately 6-1-21 and weighs 9.4 lbs. We think they are perhaps mother & daughter. They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given heartworm/flea/tick preventative, and Zara had a dental cleaning. Tara had a few mammary masses removed; thankfully pathology report shows they were benign. Adoption fee is $700 as a bonded pair to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Walnut is a 3 month old Yorkie-Poodle mix recently released by a commercial breeder. He will have age-appropriate vaccinations, be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. As he is still learning about the life of a pampered pet, Walnut is not yet house trained nor is he leash trained. A typical puppy, he is curious and explores everything with his mouth. Smart and easily trainable, he will make a great addition to any pet-lovers family. A securely fenced yard is preferred as is a playful resident dog but alternatives will be reviewed. The suggested adoption donation for Walnut is a minimum of $600 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
My name is Smokie. I’m a 4-5 year old, 10 lb Poodle mix I’m not interested in marathon games of fetch or acting like I drank three espressos. I’d rather take a nice walk, supervise whatever you’re doing, and then settle onto the couch. If there’s room next to you, great. If not, I’ll just perch on the back of the couch behind your head. I enjoy being with my people.  I get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids. I’m also crate trained, potty trained, and have good house manners because I’ve evolved beyond the need for chaos. I came into rescue from a local neglect case, but you’d never know it now. My foster family helped me realize life is actually pretty awesome when you’re loved well.  I’m now neutered, fully vetted, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and officially accepting applications from people who appreciate a low-maintenance best friend. I will need groomed regularly though. My adoption donation fee is $425.  Apply for me using the drop down menu on our website at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! July 28, 2026, 3:11 pm
