THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Tiny Pirate lost his home through no fault of his own and was taken in temporarily by a loving pet owner. He has made rapid progress in her care and is 80% housetrained now. A little shy at first meeting, Pirate warms up when given time to understand that you are a friend and mean no harm. He is a small guy and will do best in an adult only home with a securely fenced yard and a resident canine as a companion and mentor. The suggested adoption donation for Pirate is a minimum of $400 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Tiny lost his home through no fault of his own and was taken in by a caring pet lover. He is making great progress in her care and is learning house training. Tiny is afraid of the big outdoors and isn't a fan of walking on a leash to potty, so for this reason, he must have a securely fenced yard. A confident resident canine will also help Tiny to understand the routine of your home and to act as a buddy and mentor. The ideal home for Tiny will be an adult-only home with securely fenced yard and a small dog as a playment. Story
Sadie and Willow are looking for a new home.  They were found as strays together and are best buds, so they MUST and adopted together. Sadie is about 2 yrs old she is a gray yorkie/terrier mix and Willow is about 3 yrs old she is a Maltese mix.  Both are spayed and current on vaccinations. These girls are a bonded pair so we are looking for a home with no other dogs as they have formed a pack to themselves.   They would do best in a home with older kids so no children under 12 yrs old.  They are sweet girls that love to cuddle and be with their people.  They are playful girls they enjoy their toys.   They love attention and loves, and of course food and treats. They are not fully housetrained but are doing a good job with pee pads.  They do sleep in a crate at night and when no one is home.  Like most small dogs they are nervous with loud noises but a patient home can help they get out of their fears. A home with time to train them and let out frequently would be best.  They will come with leashes and harness and beds and blankets and other stuff.   There is a re-homing fee of $200All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.September 15, 2026, 3:39 pm

Story
Willow — The Playful, Loving Maltese With a Big Heart Willow is a sweet, spunky Maltese who brings joy, energy, and affection everywhere she goes. She’s the more outgoing of the pair and helps Sadie feel brave and secure. Willow and Sadie are a bonded duo and must be adopted together — they truly depend on each other. Willow’s Personality Willow is active, playful, and full of charm. She loves to explore, bounce around, and greet her humans with happy kisses. She’s stranger friendly, enjoys meeting new people, and has a bright, curious spirit. She’s also deeply attached to her person and her sister. Willow wants to be able to see her human at all times and will whine when kenneled at first, though she settles down with reassurance. Home Life & Training Willow is: Crate trained and does well when she knows Sadie is with her Very bonded to Sadie — they must stay together In need of a fenced yard Not yet housebroken, still learning routines Reactive toward other dogs, so she needs a home with no other pets Prone to separation anxiety — she wants to stay close to her people She has only been taken outside on a harness and leash so far. Willow can be reactive toward neighbor dogs, so a quiet, petfree home (except for Sadie) will help her feel secure. Willow’s Ideal Home Willow will thrive in a home that is: Quiet and predictable (no young children) Patient and willing to continue training Free of other pets Fencedin for safe outdoor time Committed to keeping her and Sadie together forever Willow is ready to bring joy, affection, and playful energy to a loving home that embraces both her and Sadie as the bonded pair they are.   The suggested adoption donation for both Sadie and Willow is $800, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Adoptions for Sadie and Willow are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that they can take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainers. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.   To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. ##2842910##

Story
Meet Oliver. He is a senior Maltese (born 2013) who still looks like a puppy. He's housetrained and good with cats and other dogs. He's a little cautious at first, but then he will be your best friend and follow you around.  Oliver loves to sleep in his foster mom's bed at night and snuggle! Oliver is nervous around younger children.  He would be good in a home with older kids (age 13+). He is on prescription kidney food and subcutaneous fluids once per week. He also has Cushings disease and is on 10mg Vetoryl per day. The suggested adoption donation for Oliver is $200.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.  If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet.  The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. Story
Tia got her first groom last Friday and did great! This special girl has come so far since joining rescue. Tia is a 10yr old Maltese mix who was surrendered from a puppy mill back in November. Shes been working in her socializing and learning what a house is. Tia is not your typical dog. She does well with puppy pads and does enjoy her outside time. Tia is still learning that humans are ok. And we don't blame her. When you spend the first 7yrs of your life in a puppy mill; it changes you. Thankfully her puppy having days are over. Tia is fully vetted. She will require a calm home with understanding people who get that shes not a lap dog. Her family will need to understand that she has to take things at her pace. Her kennel is her safe spot. She loves to watch her foster siblings and resident dogs from the comfort of her doggy bed in the safety of her kennel. She's been thru somethings and patience is the key with her. Her trust cant be rushed, it has to be earned. She would do best with another dog her size for a companion that she can learn from. She maybe older but she deserves to live the rest of her life in comfort and safety. With unconditional love, patience and understanding. #nonprofitanimalrescue #puppymillsurvivor #fosteringsaveslives #cuteness #fosterpuppylove #fosterpuppiesofinstagram #survivorstrong
