Meet King 🖤 located in NYC 📍 King is a handsome little guy with a big personality who is looking for the right person to give him the home he deserves. This approximately 4-year-old Morkie mix weighs just 12 pounds and is equal parts sweet, loving, and charming. His birthday is September 1, 2022, so this little man will soon be celebrating another trip around the sun, and hopefully his next birthday will be in a home of his own. King absolutely loves going for walks and spending time with his people. He would do best as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the attention for himself. When meeting new people, King needs thoughtful, calm introductions and someone who understands that trust doesn’t always happen instantly. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet and loving side comes through. He is looking for an experienced, confident adopter who can provide him with consistency, structure, and clear guidance. King isn’t a dog who needs to be rushed or pushed into situations, he needs someone willing to understand him, advocate for him, and give him the security he needs to thrive. King is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccines. He’s ready to find the person who understands exactly what he needs and will give this sweet little guy the loving, stable home he can finally call his own.

Meet Tommy! When Tommy first arrived at the rescue, he was completely shut down—coming from a puppy mill, he was understandably unsure of humans and the big world around him. But with a little patience and love, Tommy is coming out of his shell and making tremendous strides toward trusting people! He now proudly ventures outside on his own, happily explores the yard, and loves following the rest of the pup pack around during playtime. He’s even started eagerly engaging with our volunteers, trotting over to seek out a quick lick and a few sweet pets. While he will still need a loving family willing to go at his pace and build that bond of trust, Tommy's brave little heart is showing just how ready he is for his forever home. Tommy's Ideal Home Because he is working hard to build his bravery, his forever home needs a couple of very important things: A Canine Companion (Required): He absolutely must have another confident, friendly dog in his new home. He learns best by watching other dogs, and having a brave canine brother or sister will help show him the ropes and teach him that humans are actually pretty great! The Vibe: A quiet, low-traffic, and predictable household is essential for him. A home without young children or loud noises will give him the peace he need to slowly step out of my shell. Don’t let my small size fool you—I have a big personality and an even bigger voice! My name is Benji, and I am an incredibly cute, sweet little guy with a lot to say. I love to use my voice to announce visitors, express my excitement, or just let you know how my day is going. Sadly, I found myself at the rescue because my elderly owner's health began to decline, and they were no longer able to give me the care I needed. It was heartbreaking to leave, but I am so ready to find a new forever family to focus all my love on. I am a truly fantastic pup who gets along wonderfully with people and coexists beautifully with other well-behaved dogs. My Ideal Home Because I like to make my voice heard, I have one very specific rule for my next home: No Apartment Life: My big, booming voice means shared walls and busy apartment hallways are definitely not for me. I am strictly looking for a single-family home (bonus points for a fenced-in yard where I can patrol and play!). The Routine: If you are looking for a loyal companion who will keep things lively, greet you with enthusiasm, and settle down for a nice cuddle session after playtime, I'm your guy.
