Story
Bootsie is a 2yrs old Morky (maltese/yorkshire terrier). He weighs 11 lbs. His coat is non shed. He certainly would be an excellent to another dog because he is playful, loves other dogs, very social and submissive to them. He is a very gentle, affectionate little guy, a lap dog. He is equally “famously” social with people of all ages and both genders, does not know a stranger and loves men as much as women! He also suits living anywhere because he has no hang ups about anything, no fear of people or noisy surroundings such as heavy traffic, he is leash trained, great on leash, non-reactive at all to strangers and other dogs. He is quiet and does not bark, so this makes him very suitable for an apartment living. He is working on his housebreaking skills and catching on. He is quite smart, learned the command “sit” very quickly. He is good in his crate overnight and if he wants out, whimpers quietly and quiets down went told. He is obedient, not stubborn and he already has a good recall. In a nutshell, he is a very easy little fellow to care for, easy going and so adaptable, who has a very well balanced temperament and personality, a totally adorable and lovable little gem. More about Bootsie: Bootsie was owner surrendered, a case of a senior lady owning several dogs (7), no longer able to care for them and had to be moved to a long-term care facility. Her daughter managed to find adopters for 6 of them and contacted our rescue to take Bootsie in. Although the lady obviously loved her dogs and took as good care of them as she could, (as they are very well socialized and loving towards all humans and also gentle with other dogs, they were in a good physical and mental shape), but none of them were housebroken, altered, or vaccinated. Upon its arrival in our rescue's care, a little over a week ago, Bootsie has been vet checked, neutered, and vaccinated, bathed and groomed. He is ready to go to his forever home.

Story
Meet Yami - a 10-month old, 8lb Morkie with a huge heart, a playful spark, and absolutely no respect for personal space (in the best way). Yami is a social, affectionate sidekick who loves being wherever her people are. She's 100% lapdog - happiest perched on your lap while you work, curled up beside you on the couch, or snoozing peacefully through the night tucked in next to her humans. She rarely barks and gets along well with dogs of all sizes. Yami is a total fan of humans and adapts quickly to new environments, including the busy downtown. She can live nicely in a condo and behaves well in the car. She understands her basic commands, though like many young pups, she can get easily distracted in busy or exciting environments. She's currently pee-pad trained and making great progress transitioning to outdoor potty breaks. And if you clap and sing "Go Yami, go Yami" she'll happily dance along with you! She currently goes on 3 daily walks, and loves exploring and getting curious outside. Sweet, funny, and endlessly cuddly, Yami is ready to fill her forever home with love, laughter, and a constant warm presence by your side. Yami is being fostered in Toronto. She will be spayed Jan. 13 ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.
