Story
Hi, I’m Phoebe — an 11-year-old Yorkshire Terrier weighing 12 pounds, and I’m looking for a calm, loving home to call my own. I may be a petite little lady, but I have a big heart and so much devotion to give. I’m affectionate, playful, and just a bit shy when we first meet. Once I feel safe, I’ll happily follow you from room to room and curl up nearby. I’m very food motivated (treats are my love language!) and I truly enjoy my daily walks. I’m house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. At night, I sleep in my human’s room on my own cozy bed on the floor — though I won’t turn down an invitation to share the big bed. I only bark on walks or when people or dogs pass in front of the house. I take my little “property patrol” job seriously! I can be nervous around small children and large dogs. I do get along with them, but it stresses me out, so a quieter environment would help me feel my best. I’m friendly with cats and comfortable around them. My current person loves me dearly, but they’re rarely home anymore. Being alone so much has made me sad and a bit anxious, and they want a better life for me. My ideal home would be with an older person who is home most of the time — someone who enjoys gentle walks, a steady routine, and the companionship of a loyal little shadow. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted girl to share your days, I’m waiting.
