Loves to play with humans and toys! Take this sweet little girl into your home today! Foster mom update 9/13/26: What a difference a week makes! Blossom is doing fabulous with her housetraining! She has not had an accident in a week! She is learning to walk on a leash and loves to take long walks. She plays with toys ... loves a squeaky toy or a small ball to chase. She enjoys chewing on a bully stick and wrestling with her foster sister. This little blossom is a gem! Meet Blossom. We believe she is around 2 years old, weighs about 9 pounds and is a Shih Tzu/Maltese mix. She came to us from a hoarding situation and is learning how to be pampered. Her first haircut was quite the transformation. Blossom is a bit skittish and loves having another dog around. If she cannot find her foster sister, she gets a bit anxious. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, snuggled up with her foster sister. A home with another dog is strongly preferred. She is starting to discover that people and toys are fun. She is working on her leash skills and potty manners. A fenced yard is a plus. A training/manners class is required and must be completed within 6 months to finalize the adoption. If you are looking for a sweet velcro dog, he is your man! He just wants love and attention from his humans. He is healing well from his neuter on 9/30. He will be ready for adoption in a week or so. He gets along well with the resident dogs in his foster home. He is learning to walk on leash and is working on his potty manners. He definitely need training but he will excel. He wants to please and is food motivated. He is 100% good boy! He will be transferring to Washington DC tomorrow to spend the rest of his foster experience with a new foster family. He will be due a DHPP booster in a month. Murphy is a 5 1/2 month old, 12 pound, yorkie mix from a puppy mill in Virginia. He was surrendered by the "breeder" because they could not "get enough money for him." (because he was getting to old, most puppy mill dogs are sold off early - before 3 months). Poor guy is scared to death but seems really sweet. He wants to explore and cuddle and play. He is being neutered 9/30 and once healed he will be ready for adoption. He is a little skittish but there isn't a mean bone in his body. He just wants love and attention. He is working on his house manners and leash walking skills. He has been sleeping in a pen in the evening. He will begin crate training for sleep on 9/30 after his neuter. *A basic training/manners class will be required to complete his adoption. For inquiries email va2byoung@aol.com Fee: $900 Location: Sunset Beach, NC Lilah is approximately 5 months old according to the veterinarian and weighs 5 lbs. She has been described as a terrier mix or even a rainbow Yorkie mix with her black and white coloring. She even has a white powder puff at the end of her tail. Right now, she is a bit skittish with people, however, she likes other small dogs. So much so, that she sneaks into her foster brother's bed with him. Her foster brother is teaching her how to walk on a leash as she follows him out to the yard. With his help, she is now mostly potty trained. She eats well twice a day, is starting to play with toys and likes her quiet naps. She needs some time to come out of her shell. She will be spayed on September 28 -- then will be ready for her forever home. Lilah enjoys playing with squeaky toys and her foster brother. Another dog in the home may make her happy!
