Story
Fanta, a beautiful Mountain Cur mix, arrived at Horse Creek from the animal shelter on October 6, 2020. Fanta is a sweet girl who wants desperately to please. She is very apprehensive when she first meets someone new, but with lots of patience and love, she will warm up and enjoy all the affection you are willing to give her. Fanta probably wouldn't be a good match for small kids. Fanta will make a great addition to a loving and caring family! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. You can find our application at www.horsecreekwildlife.org/applic.html. Once completed, you can forward it to adoptions@horsecreekwildlife.org or fax it to 731-926-3000. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.

Story
Meet this beautiful and brilliant girl, Little Z!Little Z came into the shelter back in February 2023 and we estimate her to now be around 3.5 years old. She is the perfect dog for someone with an active lifestyle where she can put her energy to good use! We feel Little Z would do best in a home with no small children as she is a bit high energy but that doesn’t mean she isn’t a wonderful dog! She can be friends with other dogs when properly introduced and does best if the other dog meets her energy level. If you are interested in meeting Little Z, please fill out an application on our website so we can set you up an appointment to come do so at the shelter! ##1635687##
