Story
Dorothy is the cool grandma everyone wants to hang out with—somehow she missed the memo that she’s a senior. Hiking? She’s in. Fetch all afternoon? Absolutely. Snacks? Just hand them over. When it’s time to chill, she’s perfectly happy porch-sitting, people-watching, and making new friends. She’s friendly, confident, and has never met a stranger. Dorothy knows her basic manners, shows signs of being housetrained, and walks well on leash with the occasional reminder that she’s a strong girl. She’d do best as the only pet (she takes 'selective' to a whole new level) and will need a cat-free home—cats are for chasing, after all. Story
Lilith is a 3-month-old female Mountain Cur mix.  She was found as a stray out in the county and no owner claimed her.  Lilith has a short brindle and white coat; and she will be a large adult dog.  She is just as sweet as can be and would be great with other dogs and children.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  January 2, 2026, 4:30 pm

Story
Winston is a gentle, steady presence who finds joy in the simple things—quiet walks where he can take in new scents, soft blankets on chilly days, and sharing space with someone who enjoys a slower pace. He has a sweet, teddy-bear kind of personality and brings a calm warmth wherever he goes. Winston need some time to get familiar with new friends, especially since his world is dimmed by cataracts. But with kind words and a few treats, he opens up quickly. He walks nicely on leash and prefers to take things at his own comfortable speed. While he’s an older gentleman, that’s just one small part of who he is. What really defines Winston is his softness, his contentment, and how much he enjoys being close to his person. Story
Meet John Boy – The Farm-Bred Sweetheart  John Boy is a handsome 2-year-old brindle boy with the cutest ears and an adorable white-speckled chest and paws. Weighing about 35 lbs, he’s the perfect medium size — and while his mix is anyone’s guess (maybe Plott Hound, Mountain Cur, Lab, or Cattle Dog), one thing’s for sure: he’s 100% lovable! John Boy and his siblings showed up on a farm, where a kind family took them in until space opened at the rescue. He’s great with farm animals, and since arriving, he’s learned both house and leash manners like a champ. This good boy gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy fit for almost any home. John Boy is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and dewormed. Adoption Fee: $250 If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing companion with a big heart and a country soul, John Boy is ready to be your best friend! December 23, 2025, 10:28 pm
