Story
4 year old, 70lb Tilly found herself at North Central Shelter in March of 2026. She came in with a microchip, meaning she had a possible owner, but nobody came to claim her. In dog playgroups and with volunteers, Tilly was described as gentle, tolerant, and friendly with people and dogs. Due to stress in her kennel, she became at risk of euthanasia so our team at Dog Coalition sprung into action and with the help of a dedicated foster were able to get her into a foster home in April. Tilly is a gentle soul blossoming more and more with each passing day. Since coming into foster care, this beautiful girl has been winning hearts left and right with her calm nature and growing love of cuddles. She took to crate training immediately and considers the crate her own cozy sanctuary. She even loves sleeping in it overnight! Tilly is also working on her leash and walking skills with her signature calm and good behavior. We have no doubt she'll be a lovely walking companion in no time. Tilly shares her foster home with two smaller, more relaxed dog sisters, and she fits in perfectly with their laid-back energy. Her play style is dainty and considerate, always matching the energy of the other dogs. She has also been slowly and carefully meeting her cat foster siblings, and so far she's showing calm curiosity without any signs of prey drive or aggression. We believe she would do well in a home with dog and/or cat siblings! She loves finding the sunniest spot in the yard to soak in. Whether she's napping in a warm patch of sunlight or rolling over for a belly rub with someone she trusts, this girl knows how to enjoy the good life. She is warming up to new people faster and faster every day, and once she decides you're her person, she'll give you the whole belly. What You Should Know About Tilly: - A gentle, sweet girl who grows more confident and loving with each new day - Dainty, considerate, and playful with other dogs - Showing promising, calm behavior around cats. Could potentially thrive in a multi-pet home. - A certified sun-bather and belly rub enthusiast (once she trusts you, it's belly rubs on demand!) - Crate trained and loves her cozy space, which will help her transition to a new home - Could be nice for a couple or family looking for a well-balanced dog to take on adventures and hang out at home with! To meet Tilly, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow her foster @samsfostertails and @dogcoaltionla for updates!

Story
Meet Mordecai, the little explorer of the group. While none of these puppies are true loners, Mordecai is the one most likely to wander off on his own little adventure. He’s curious, independent, and perfectly happy checking things out at his own pace. He isn’t tied to one particular sibling — Mordecai likes everyone, plays with everyone, and then may quietly decide he has important puppy business elsewhere. You know, places to sniff, things to investigate, tiny missions to complete. But don’t let his explorer side fool you. Mordecai is still a sweet little guy with plenty of love to give. He enjoys playtime, companionship, and being part of the fun — he just also appreciates a little freedom to discover the world around him. Mordecai would love a forever home that encourages his curiosity, gives him room to grow, and understands that this sweet boy has both a playful heart and an adventurous spirit.

High energy. High love. Zero chill. Eileen has been known to launch herself over sleeping siblings and attach herself to my shoelaces like her entire future depends on it. She’s one of seven orphaned puppies in foster care, learning how to be loved, safe, social, and ready for forever. Tiny body. Big feelings. Personal vendetta against shoelaces.

Story
Meet Benson, a distinguished little gentleman with a sweet face, shiny coat, and perky ears that deserve their own fan club. He may not be the biggest puppy in the litter, but please do not tell him that. Beson has plenty of confidence, plenty of opinions, and plenty of energy packed into his little body. He is feisty, fun, and always ready to play whenever you are. Beson is the kind of puppy who brings personality into every room. He has that perfect mix of sweet and spunky — one minute looking at you with his adorable little face, the next minute reminding everyone that he is fully prepared for puppy shenanigans. He would love a forever home ready for playtime, cuddles, laughter, and a little guy with a big personality. Beson is ready to grow, learn, love, and become someone’s very best little buddy.

Story
One of seven puppies to make her official debut… and honestly, she was probably going to introduce herself whether I was ready or not. Margaret is tiny, adorable, and VERY vocal. She has opinions. She has volume. She has no problem making sure the room knows she has arrived. Margaret loves attention and is a loves to be held and carried. She’ll gladly follow you around and be your shadow. Margaret is growing, learning, yelling, snuggling, and getting ready for the day she finds her people. And trust me… when they show up, she’ll let them know. 💕
