Story
Check out what Benji's foster had to say about this sweet boy! I went out with Benji, a 3-year-old pup from the shelter. He is special for many reasons. First off, it is impossible not to notice his gorgeous Merle coat (also known as dapple I was told). Even though it was our very first encounter, he took to me right away and, confident, hopped in the car without hesitation. I had a couple of errands to run. Benji was game, and patient, and waited in the car while I picked up stuff outside of someone'shome, chatting for a few minutes. While he spotted deer and lots of Magpies, he did not budge, just observing. I was told that Benji had been raised with other dogs (and a horse). So when we met our neighbor's friendly female dog (totally unexpected),we did a proper introduction, and both Molly and Benji enjoyed each other's company while walking a few blocks around my neighborhood. He showed some hesitation when he first met my husband but soon enough he was accepting compliments and hugs. He never pulled on his leash or lost his cool. What I spotted during our few hours together: A handsome, trusting, for the most part, patient, serene, tolerant, friendly, and affectionate Benji. He was a real pleasure to spend time with.
