HOW TO ADOPT: This pet is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this pet, please email fosterinquiry@arl-iowa.org.---- Very cuddly and will nap on his foster family's lap any chance he gets; likes to lay his head on their shoulder like he's giving them a hug and adores sleeping in bed with them at night - Hilariously clumsy pup who has a tendency to run into things and may fall over while scratching himself; looks incredibly goofy trying to figure out how to get on the couch - Favorite toys are balls, and he's working on learning how to play fetch; also likes to do zoomies - Favorite treats are whipped cream, chew bones and pup cups - Follows his foster family all over the place like a shadow - Still learning to walk on a leash and is cautiously curious on walks- Has a start on potty training but still has accidents in the house if he's not monitored, so he'll need some help from his new family to get all the way there - Does very well in a crate, even when his foster family is not home - Still a little nervous in the car, but is getting better all the time and is generally quiet - Can be nervous around new people, especially when he's in unfamiliar situations, but he's slowly building confidence the more positive experiences he has - Has done well with school-age children in his foster home and likes to play with them - Absolutely loves the dog in his foster home and will run in the backyard with her and follow her everywhere; did take a little time to learn how to play politely with her, so if he'll have a dog friend at home it may be best to monitor him the first few days while everyone is getting used to each other - May not always want to share his food or people with other dogs, and his foster family is working with him on that - Loves the cats in his foster home; is very curious and tries to entice them to play All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 44 Age: 1yrs 7mths 1wks

Story
I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play! Fetch and chase games are my favorite . I am adoptable in Texas, I need to meet my family and you need to meet me! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX)

Story
Daisy came to us with her puppies and proved to be the gentlest, most devoted mama. She raised her babies with so much love, and now it’s finally her turn to find a forever home of her own. This sweet girl can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly—especially if you have treats to share! Daisy is great with other dogs, crate trained, and has the softest, most loving spirit. Are you ready to give this wonderful mama the happy ending she deserves? Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
