Have you heard the old saying “That dog don’t hunt”?   Meet Joker!   He’s a one year old Mountain Cur.   Bred and sold to hunt, imagine their surprise to find he’s afraid of gunfire.      Joker is looking to make a career change from hunter to family pet. Luckily he possesses all the skills for this new role.  Affectionate and cuddly, he’s hoping to find a family to snuggle and to be active with him.     Joker Mountain Cur Male DOB 8/25/25 40lbs Crate trained  House trained Friendly with dogs.  Cats?  Older children are fine.   If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Joker’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Xena is also very smart and already starting to pick up on basic commands like sit, come, her name, and even “no.” With a little consistency, she’s going to shine and learn quickly! She does great with other dogs and loves to play. If you’re looking for a fun, active companion, Xena is your girl—she has lots of energy and enjoys staying busy. Xena is doing well with puppy pads and seems to understand them, which is a great foundation as she continues learning her routine in a home. She’s adjusting more each day and will thrive with someone patient who can guide her as she continues to learn.
