Story
Meet Molly – A Sweet Mountain Cur mix in Search of Love and Healing! Molly, a 35lb, 1-2 year-old Mountain Cur mix, is a gentle, playful girl ready to embrace her well-earned retirement. Rescued from a Pizza Hut parking lot, Molly came to her foster family very pregnant, malnourished, and unfamiliar with the comforts of indoor living. But this resilient girl has quickly caught on, making herself at home—especially on the recliner chair! She does have manners though and will only jump up on furniture if you tell her it's okay. Molly loves chasing toys, playing fetch, and showing off her adorable bunny-like bounces. She loves to be right near you, sits in your lap at times, loves belly rubs and her ears scratched! When she’s extra excited, she does sometimes nibble on your shirt or hand. Molly loves other humans and would do best in a family with older kids. The world is still new and she is very timid at first and can get scared around loud noises. Molly can get rowdy with her play as well. She is still learning manners in a house and what toys are hers and what items are not….like shoes! We are working on commands such as sit and lay down. She is potty trained and will walk well on a leash…unless she sees a squirrel! She has a strong prey drive for birds and squirrels. Molly needs a family that is willing help her grow and has patience for a puppy personality. She is a quick learner and eager to please. She does well with other dogs. She needs someone to be the leader so she doesn’t feel like she has to do the protecting because deep down she is really scared inside. Mountain Cur’s are very smart, playful and need good exercise.  Most importantly, Molly needs someone ready to help her heal the rest of the way, finish behavior training (manners), and spoil her rotten for all the love and affection she missed in her early years. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Molly, she’ll fill your life with magic, joy, and unconditional love. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Molly’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Vander is a rescue dog, we got about 4 years ago. He is a wonderful dog but is protective of our family. With a human son who he loves and adores it has made it difficult to have people over he does not know. For Vanders safety and to not make him scary any of his human sons friends we keep him in a bedroom while people visit. He deserves a family that can provide him a home with lots of land and someone who will be with him always. He is a cuddle and very loyal. He gets along with his sister dog a labradoodle. This decision is not easy for us and are looking for someone who will love him and provide a life for him that is able to be present with him and keep him company.

Story
Meet Prince! Prince was seen being shoved from a car here in the middle of town, he was quite shy when he first arrived and does take a few minutes to warm up to new people. He absolutely loves kids! we think he came from a home with a younger boy to play with as well, we had a volunteer stop by and he took right to him, so his ideal home would be one with kids. Prince is fully vetted including Neuter, Heartworm Test, Vaccines including Rabies, Dewormed, Monthly Preventatives as well as Microchipped. If you would like to add Prince to your home please submit your application on our website at www.moberlyanimalshelter.bravesites.com

Story
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a one-of-a-kind look, Gabby might be your perfect match. Her golden eyes shine just as brightly as her spirit, and her unique tiger-striped coat makes her truly stand out. Gabby is the best of both worlds—she’s always up for an adventure, whether it’s a walk in nature or a car ride to anywhere, but she’s just as happy curling up with you for a snuggle. She may not technically be a lap dog, but don’t tell her that! Her journey hasn’t been the easiest. She was abandoned alongside another dog, left to fend for herself, and later endured heartworm treatment. But through it all, she never lost her sweet, happy personality (even if the treatment did make her a little hangry at times). Gabby is wonderful with kids, plays well with other dogs, and is both housebroken and crate-trained. She walks nicely on a leash and knows how to sit—we’re working on adding more tricks to her repertoire! At about 75 pounds, she’s working her way back to a healthier weight after her treatments. We haven’t had the chance to see how she does with cats yet. If you’re searching for a beautiful, devoted companion who will always be by your side, Gabby would love to meet you! https://unchainedmelodies.org/adopt/

Story
Say hello to Jorah! We guess him to be a Mountain Cur or Plott Hound mix. He is another one of our Forget-Me-Nots. He was abandoned on farmland with his sister, so when the farmer was able to catch them both, they were brought to us. Both were in pretty rough shape, but with proper care their coats filled in nicely. It takes a bit of time for Jorah to trust strangers, but once he picks a person, he bonds hard to that person. He can tolerate the company of other dogs. He was adopted once and returned when he couldn't handle being alone for extended periods of time. He really is a sweet guy and loves attention and affection. He just needs the opportunity to bond. Also, Jorah is very trainable and knows some commands. Jorah needs to be the ONLY ANIMAL IN THE HOME. He is best suited for a single person, living alone. If you think you can manage a dog that bonds very strongly to the only person in the home, Jorah might just be the dog for you.
